gills

ummm jim you can send it out to any reputable airsmithing shop and they can do it for less than 50 bucks the good thing about milling the gills is that it reduces blow back and increases the rof while reducing ball chops....mike

i did it to my m98, i used a dremel and then cleaned it up using sandpaper. the only way you could tell i did it was if u looked really close at it.

Milling gill's is also great for when you get shot in the gun, makes a nice mess where your next paintball is waiting to be shot.

ummm..

when you get shot in the gun the ref will probally call you out so thats not a problem or if you like to cheat you can just turn your gun upside down and shoot. And finally the best one squigee

I guess asking if it's even necessary is moot at this point....
Don't really think milling the gills helps at all, unless your aim is aesthetic change. I've never personally been a fan of adding holes to the internal areas of guns when they aren't made with them in the first place. Your call though

miling the gills ona 98 is safe, the blowback keeps dirt out, and honestly how often do you get there? on the side of yoru gun, very rare.and it wouldbesimple to clean out. it does help with blowback, keeps from pushing the balls back up the feed neck.

I actually really like having the gills milled out on my 98. If I break a ball in the breach it is easy to just open up the feed and spray out there and through the gills, plus I realy like the looks of it.
If anyone is interested I have several sets of original 98 body halves that are the 32 degreese mods,(ie) gills, trigger, and the gas line milled out. They are also stripped to the raw aluminumn and ready for a custom paint job. Pic. is below $30.00 a set plus shipping.
Email me at lindzy1@msn.com if interested

Here's the how-to I wrote http://www.m98center.com/howto/14.html

Here's the 98 I had as shown on M98center.com http://m98center.com/gallery/dan.html

Here's the web page I made for it way back when
http://www.angelfire.com/in2/auctionjunkie/
There are 3 videos you can download of it shooting.

I don't do the gills mod anymore. I did about 20 of them and didn't have a single complaint. It does reduce blowback dramatically.

could this be done on a bl millenium\spyder? and would it have much effect on the gun other than asthetics?
