By the same token a majority of scenarios are WW2 themed - few people attempt to replicate this type of weaponry. Modern military weapon are the predominant milsim marker inspirations.
I believe in shooting paintball markers at paintball markers, and that fundamentally practical > tactical.
It's a lot of fun to build milsim markers. With a few simple modifications, a 98C can turn into a Vietnam Era M-16 that is almost indistinguishable in size terms from an M-16 A1.
On the other hand, it weights a ton, and weight is extremely important in paintball.
