Most Distance/Accuracy

I tried a quick search and couldn't find this poll. If there is one and somebody has a link, then I'll just delete this one.

But I hate these debates. I'm now arguing with a guy who whole-heartedly believes that autocockers are more accurate. Yes, and how many times have we all heard that before? Well, so here's a poll to find out.

Does any marker have better accuracy or distance than another? Can a closed bolt system be better, or pump be more accurate?

all guns have the same range. however, my tribal kicked the living snot out of my ex-cocker in the accuracy department. i took a 12" boomstick and fresh zap paint an shot at a target about 30 feet away. the cocker was all over the place. i proceded to take the same barrel and paint and shot it thru my tribal. my tribal was dead-@ss accurate.

no, neither gun were secured on a stable platform, but i can tell u that even if they were, my cocker would have lost miserably. so, accuracy has SOME bearing on what kind of gun u shooting, but a general statement like "cockers are more accurate than angels" or any derivatives thereof is totally false and un-justified. range, however, is totally equal nomatter who/where/what/how/why u do it. if u want, i can break out my physics book and give u all the equations to prove it.

all guns have the same distance, if they have the same paint/barrel match, same fps they will go the same distance!!

of course how the gun/marker [for "pc" purposes] fires the projectile will have a bearing on how the it will react after leaving the barrel. but i think the whole "same-paint-same-barrell-same-shi+" theory is pretty accurate.

You are forgetting the velocity factor.

It seems that your tribal is more consistent than your autococker. What kind of regulators, if any, do you have on them?

I wanted to put that, but I had to keep the poll short and to the point (as it says).
And Jazz, I actually call it "Marker" for historic reasons, not for PC. But that is a whole other topic I'd talk about at another time.

stock reg on the fluster and a gen x 2 on my cocker. both regs well maintained and broken in. the cocker got about +-5 on the chron, the fluster around +- 8. i know that fluxuating velocities affects accuracy, but u would just have to see how bad the cocker was shooting.

lol so your saying i could put a barrel on a stingray and with the same barrel and paint match as one on an angel they would shot identical! sweet deal i guess i wont be needing that angle all i gotta do is buy a 40 dollar gun and barrel and im set !

Not quite. Angels have a regulator that would just destroy that of the stingray's. Therefor the angle will be more consistent.

Ohh My..

I have explained this sooo many times!!!!!! If a spyder and a tippmann 98 have same barrel 12" and 285 fps both they do not shoot same distance!!!!!!!!!! Nobody will ever understand!!! It is the way the company makes the gun!! Some guns have different parts for distance.............

Problem there is to find the same barrels for those two markers. That and somehow putting a regulator on a Stingray.
You're forgetting that instead of a 50 dollar stingray, you're getting a metal electro with a lot of functions. Big difference.

And right now, there are 10 that say "Yes". Now to those that say "Yes", I'd like to hear your opinions. It seems like only people that know physics are replying, and they're saying no. What, are all autococker owners voting and not able to explain their vote?

so if a 100 spyder + barrel and a 1000 dollar angel + barrel had the same barrel and paintmatch and were at the same velocity then they would shoot esactly the same and the only difference would be speed. lol i never realized how dumb angel owners are so your paying an extra 900 just to shoot fast and waste even more money on paint lol ahahahahahahaha or you could just by electric grips for 160 so it would be a $740 difference lol omg bahahahahahahahahahahahahaha i bet you wish you werent right this time ahahahahahahahahahaha

yeah but it has to be the exact same velocity. I agree with that statement to a point. The way everyone puts it is that it would be easy to get any gun to 285 or 300 or whatever you needed. If you have two guns both at the exact same velocity leaving the barrel then for the most part they would go about the same distance. However, what the ball does when it gets in the open air depends alot on the internals, the accuracy of the gun and a few other factors. So, a more accurate or a gun that shoots straighter will shoot farther than a gun that doesnt shoot straight. At any rate it wouldnt make much of a noticable difference but I'm just saying that getting the ball to 300fps is not everything. If paintball were that basic then we'd all have talons or stingrays. Man tourneys would suck like that.

oh, and angel killer. If you are saying that a spyder with a hyperframe is just as good as an angel, you truly are the stupidest person I have ever met. Spyders really arent meant to shoot as fast as that so an angel woul perform much better just because it has better internals and better consistency. Maybe next time you shouldnt flame everyone while making an *** of yourself.

No, because you also get a true electro. Not a sear tipper. And an Angel is a little more reliable than a Kingman product.

Plus your angel has import costs. If you want, compare it to an Impulse. Better price range.

i agree but every one here says that the only thing that matters is paint to barrel match and consitancy. but who decides what fps is the most accurate? i my self believe that the gun has something to do with it. for example my first gun was a tippman 98 when i would shoot it the balls would curve every were broken paint or not and that was with a stock barrel and dye aluminum and my friend has the same problem with his gun and he has a all american. but when i upgraded to a tourny gun (wont say which one doesnt matter) i amediatly noticed the distance i never have balls curving unless i have a broken paintball. so i do believe that the gun makes a difference.

and when i say curve i mean like 10-15 feet of target not a mater of inches

exactly, finally someone who gets this whole concept. If every gun were the same (which I've seen that argument in a few places) then why do people buy Angels. Some guns are just better, and thats the bottom line.

who said i was flaming? you took it the wrong way.
and in no way am i saying spyders are better then angels i was simple refering to that a spyder with the same barrel and paint match according to them is just as accurate with the same velocity. now yes angels are more consistant and reliable then spyders im just trying to show the people that only believe in paint and barrel match that there is some thing more to the gun then that.

the reason your balls were curving is they were too small for the bore you were using causing them to bounce around inside the barrel on its way out and then when you upgraded to a "tourny" gun the paint you used with it fit better in the bore causing it to have better accuracy. even if you used the same paint with your new tourny gun batches of paint differ from others causing to have a different fit.
