Hi everyone. I just bought a Bob Long Defiant off a guy and it should arrive in about a week. He told me that before I use the gun I'll have to send it to the factory for a free repair. He doesn't even know what this is. I guess he isn't too smart! Anyways, he said the gun has only been used 1 or 2 times. I was wondering if anyone has ideas about what would break on a defiant in one to two games and would I be able to fix it myself or get this paintball guy in town to do it. I'd really appreciate it if some of you could give me some input on this one. I'll thank you in advance.

Depends on what it is, i think almost anything could break in one or 2 games just depends on what the hell he did to it. Like i said above it depends on what the real problem is the guy in town may be able to fix it, but if it is major you would have to send it to Goldie or ICD i would think.

What I would suggest you to do is to try the gun out when you received it. Note all of the symptoms in detail then post it here or in PBC (Paintball Dojo now) in BM2K/Defiant forum. The problem that most new BM2K/Defiant owner running into is incorrect LPR setting/tunning that causes solonoid leak. Just learn how to adjust the LPR the correct way then everything should be just fine. Go to www.obdo.net for all BM2K/Defiant related information.

I would suggest you to look into getting your Defiant "vaporized". This work will fix all of the existing problems on your gun, replace all worn out parts and the "VAPOR" work on top of that.
