Parts Box Project
I was thinking I have just about enough spare parts to put a whole marker together, I have a few questions about the electronics though:
Does an 05/06 ego board have enough (or too much) juice to power a 'cocker smc 'noid (6v dc, not sure about wattage) and would said 'noid flow well enough to be used as a timmy 'noid?
Parts I have in my hands:
05 spyder pilot ACS body with trinity clamping feedneck
02 timmy ram and cap, front ASA and LPR
02 timmy bolt/pin
worrblade frame ('cocker e-frame, almost completely compatible with ego board)
SD breakbeam eyes
e-blade 5-way SMC SYJ8140-VG 'noid
system X vengenace HPR
hacked up e1 'cocker manifold
Parts I have coming in:
SD ego opto switch t-board
05 timmy ramsleeve, poppet/spring
05 ego grips
Parts I'd be getting:
2k2 timmy or custom made eye covers (leaning towards custom made to use the spyder's detent screws)
I know the body and frame will require some milling, will it work or am I doing it wrong?
Edit: temporarily gave up on the m3 threaded manifold, money is tight right now so I'll sub it with a hacked up e1 'cocker manifold for the time being.

Yes, an Ego board should power the solenoid just fine. 05/06 Ego solenoids are I believe 1 Watt, while Eblade solenoids are only .5 Watt.

thanks for the info, anyone know if it'll flow well enough to substitute it for the timmy 'noid?

the noid will do just fine.
When racegun used to make the trigger frames they sold their racenoid off as a timmy noid which offered increased speeds over the stock noid

update
so here's what I have so far
05 spyder pilot ACS body with trinity clamping feedneck
evil punch timmy ram and cap, woon to undergo "the juit mod"
evil front ASA and LPR (ANSgear was blowing evil parts out so I got all the timmy parts I could afford)
evil 02 timmy bolt/pin, soon to have the venturi removed on a lathe
worrblade frame ('cocker e-frame, almost completely compatible with ego board) with 05 ego hybrid grips and SD ego opto switch t-board inside
SD breakbeam eyes (that will need the connector replaced with the proper molex one)
e-blade 5-way SMC SYJ8140-VG 'noid, tested and confirmed working with ego board
system X vengenace HPR
hacked up e1 'cocker manifold
alias ramsleeve, poppet/spring, soon to be getting the cup seal replaced with a gen 5 poppet cup seal
All I need now is the adapter tray and the eye covers
The last pic is of my LPR tester/carbonation rig for homebrewed beer.

update
Spyder body ditched in favor of 2k2 lasoya body found for cheap, came with eyes and covers, so that's one less thing to worry about, plus it fits most of my barrels. Next up the tray and manifold system. Also ditched the Evil LPR in favor of a banged up lasoya LPR. The ram and cap have been modded according to Juit's guide ( http://www.intimidatorowners.com/for...ht=evil+punch), it's almost as smooth as the stock ram on the 2k2 sleeve, all they need is some break in time to work better.
Now a few questions, does the ego board put out enough power to run the timmy eyes? or will I have to modify generic Scenario dreams eyes to work? Either way I will have to solder them to the board (and make wire extensions if the timmy eyes work).
Would there be any issue if I bore out the barb ports on the ram sleeve and manifold system to 10-32? I'm thinking it would improve flow and dwell, but it could also lead to consistency issues if the 'noid doesn't deal well with the flow increase, and then I will have spent almost $50 on a useless mod and will probably have to replace all the barbs and raise the LPR pressure.
I'll try this bore out mod with the 2k2 sleeve that came with the lasoya body and if it doesn't give me any problems I'll do it to the 2k5 sleeve.

bore out barbs will eat orings at least the front one
for the ayes problem you can use ones that sell on ebay that are smaller and lower energy drain

update:
Frame, tray, spyder body and 2k2 ram sleeve at the machinist
body ready to receive parts
bought a set of AKA eyes with an adapter for ego boards from destructive customs, which should make me stop worrying about soldering eyes to the board
LPR swapped for a volly'd verdikt
spyder body will be blast hole modded
the sleeve will have the rear barb port bored out to 10-32 the front will remain 3M for now, the transfer hole on the sleeve will also be bored out
the prototype spimmy will be blind, if the mods prove successful they will carry on to the end marker.
the thread would be useless without pics so here you go

Can't believe it's been 3 years since I started on this, but it's finally done.
I present to you my Lasoya timmy build:
This thing has every mod I could come up with, I'll dial the regs in as soon as I have some paint, but in the end I expect it to work at about 200/65 PSI and get almost a case off a 68/4500 with a decent underbore, the .682" kaner (which is actually .680") should help with this, and be as smooth as my FEP quest.
Parts description (top to bottom & front to back): - Empire 2k2 feedneck
- WGP Kaner barrel " .682" " bore (bores out at .680")
- Scenario dreams blue laser eyes with spacers
- ANS venturi bolt with bored out air passage to the same diameter as body air transfer hole
- Blast hole mod
- Gen3 LPR
- Gen3 micro volly
- Evil front block, drilled for alias set screw and tapped for 10/32 barbs
- 3/32" ID barb on front block to 'noid port
- Empire poppet with gen5 cup seal, mechanical dwell shortened to 2.7mm
- Alias ram sleeve, barb ports tapped for 10-32 barbs
- Belsales swivel QEV on front barb port
- Lurker eigenram/spring
- CP gen3 adjustable ramcap
- 3/32" ID barb on rear port
- Crankwalk m3 barbs on 'noid
- Mac43 'noid
- Azodin rock steady reg (mostly for aesthetics)
- 2k5 frame
- Alias trigger guard
- Modded gen 4 trigger
- UTB with 2200uF capacitor and original 2k2 board on/off switch
- Olive Invert .45 grips
- Empire mini rail
- Dye airport non on/off ASA
- Pure energy tank with LP shim-stack, output @ 300 PSI
All lubed with formula 44D per The Incubus mix instructions.
Quite the departure from the original intent, but then again aren't most projects?

If you somehow managed to magically shake a Lasoya out of a box of parts, I think you deserve a show more than David Blaine does.
Should be very interesting to see how the original project turns out, the lasoya looks great, time means nothing if the outcome was worth it.

Yeah, I realize it took a turn towards voided warranty rather than a completely custom marker. The machinist I sent the parts to messed up the frame and tray, so that kind of sent me this way and I had to scrap the SMC solenoid and manifold idea (though I'll pick it up again if I have enough money left after buying homebrew kegs, possibly making an updated version of this with custom machined body and frame and a DM6+ 'noid or a quest based spool, don't know yet). Got the lasoya body a couple of years ago (pic in the 2nd to last update, dated 2011).
The original body became a modded blind spimmy, being the test bed for a few of the mods in this thing; including 3/32" ID barbs, QEV in the front sleeve port, gen5 cup seal on an empire poppet shaft, Juit modded evil punch ram, blast hole mod, drilling & tapping the front block for 3/32" ID barbs, just to name a few.
Original body during testing stages:
It currently has a 2k5 front block and a 2k2 LED frame, still waiting for a 'noid and T-board.
