Big Props to the REFS!

I need to post a Big Props to the refs! In our opinion they did an AWESOME JOB considering the weather situation. While many players were able to hit the heat in their car for about 5-10 in between games, they stood there with the bitter wind, snow and rain for at least 12 hours!

The refs were made up of the following people:

Steve Oneill and the Infamy Team
Eric Holland and the Misfit Toys
Bob Howe
Eric Fritz
and many other GPL Staff Members...

Thank you for all your help and I feel that you guys deserve a HUGE round of Applause for everything you did, including taking down the fields and cleaning up after working 12 hours straight in the bitter cold...

GOOD JOB!!

I was one of the refs on field 2. It really sucked having to inflate the bunkers after every game. We went through something liek 7-8 bunkers on our field. The weather did suck, but overall it wasnt to bad. All the other tournaments i have reffed have been like 120-160 games on our field, at this one there was only like 60 or so. Also I got a shield this time, so that was kool. I also appreciate all the guys that let me rip on thier guns.. I mean, "check for bounce".
good tournament, a few sandbaggers though.

dont wanna take it from brian? fine take it from me...the refs did a great job, even being out there freezing their ***** off in the wind and snow. Then after everyone left after reffing that long they still stayed to take the fields down and clean up.

considering

the weather conditions were a bit of a hinderance to a degree. Sometimes it was hard to see hits because of the wind and snow blowing so hard. i believe the paint was breaking white also. So yes sometimes it was a bit difficult. Heck i felt bad for the players out there who couldnt see an oncoming paintball in all that mess blowing right at them. lol. i know i couldnt.

mega i think enough people have stated their opions too if you weren't even their stop arguing i think all brian or cyndi were trying to say is that they want to thank the refs for indoring the weather conditions! On top of it im sure they did a good job as well. Just end it no need to start enemy's with good people

I think we did a good job... weather was harsh but we were checkin people all up and down the field. I drank one fo those monster energy drinks before i started reffin and was hyper as hell i was like runnin down to the toehr end of the field to pull people and stuff... it was awesome. I don't mean to toot my own horn but if i was a player i wouldnt have mind playing with the reffing job we did. We weren't really nit picky about little things.. I think we only pulled one guy for a false start and 2 one for one's on my field. We tried to get in and check people right away off the break to prevent playing on and such. Paint was hard to see with the snow and white parts on clothing and such. We made a couple bad calls but for the most part we made much less bad calls than refs at other tournies i have played.

ok megaa*s You just stated that they are your enemies so take it up with them this is not their forum it is a public forum and from what I gather pretty much everyone, there is just not a nice way to say it, thinks that you are a complete jackass. You have personal issues with them take it up with them I believe that most people are tired of having to read through your crap to come to the next valid post, since your posts seem to have nothing to do with the thread that you have posted them on. Well I hope you never get the stuff that you " havent gotten yet" because you deserve every bit of nothing.

i was greatfull to the refs for staying out there and working hard. we even gave all the refs donuts on sunday for their efforts. my only suggestion was that they should have had on ref lying or kneeling on the ground in the center of the field for each team. it is hard to see hits coming in to a center player or going out from the center if every judge is on the outside of the field. they got out and checked when asked but there were a good amount of people playing on for a few minutes. it was just a little to easy for some people to cheat. otherwise, great job.

ps mega you sure do type a lot for someone who says so little worth value.
