How will weather effect the tourny?

I know last year we played in some bad weather and maney teams just left. Just wanted to know if any of the weather rules have changed. My team will stay and play in anything I was just wondering?

Yes, I too was wondering about this.

I have heard some rumors that were tossed around that global will reschedule this event. Whether it is just a April Fools joke or not. I'd like to know. Global has always played in the harshest elements, but it's somewhat fun and challenging.

i spoke to cyndi about this. she said last year they had an event where it rained on an angle and they played. lightning is the only way they would cancel. so she said rain or shine.

Big thanks to Brian,Cindi and the rest of the GPL crew over the weekend for putting on a great event under difficult conditions. The rain, snow, wind and the cold was overshadowed by the willingness of the players to finish the task at hand. Great job to all the teams that played and specially to all the winners. Looking forward to the next GPL event in may.

Thanks to the folks at Global who did a great job running thier first tournament of the season under some pretty tough conditions. The wind was so bad that bunkers were litteraly tearing appart!. They were constantly replacing the damaged bunkers and kept the schedual as best they could.
Keep up the good work!

We had no complaints, other then the weather! MAD props to the ref's for being out there all day and keeping things running as smoothly as possible. The wind got to be a bit much, I think im still partially frozen Looking forward to playing a warmer GPL event!
