Yes I highly recommend combat vision. I know people who put them on their thermal lenses and it works good. The reason most of them did it was because the insert is alot harder to scratch then the thermal insert. I don't buy thermal lenses anymore I buy a single lense and put combat vision on it. This is because it is airtight so you can run you mask under your faucet without worrying about turning your thermal lense into an aquarium.
