hey i am interested in qloading my tippy A-5 with WAS Equalizer board. So will i be able to achieve 30 BPS with minimal chops?
also, i don't really feel like spening $119-$169 for a qloader system and having to buy a brand new right reciever just to revert to a nornal pneumatic feed hopper when i feelt he neeed for a qloader is no more (if i feel like it). Is there somewhere were i can get it slightly less?

Dude I think personally you should get it new because if im not mistaken tippman's have a different loading system so the they have a totally different adapter for mounting a qloader onto the gun. I haven't seen one on a tippman yet...so can't tell you a cheap way to make a ordinary q work on a A-5. But it has a lifetime warranty if you buy it new. Regular qloaders run used for like $110 for a 5pod. hope it helps.

You can just go to qloaders website and see hwo they did the tippmanns.
One way you could do it, is just get a PCV cap that fits on or in the feeder and just put the qloader hose into it.
The only setback is you would have to fill the cup with balls or you could get a break.
You could get creative and make a little "ramp" for the balls.

I posted a thread about this in the main forum, but I'll ask here too. I lost the clamp bolt (screw that attaches socket to gun) and I was thinking that I could probably just run to the hardware store and grab one. Does anyone know the bolt size/type? Thanks.

I know you can go and get one, but what I would do it take the part that the screw goes into and just head to a hardware shop and try out various screws.
You know what it looks like, so you just have to get the correct size.
Thats the "faster" way. Easier way is just call up qloader and ask for it, but that will take 2 weeks or soo.

For everyone's future reference, the correct size is 1/4'' by 3/4''. That's what worked for me at least.

Are you talking about just mounting the qloader onto the gun directly?

he wants to know if he has to buy a new feedneck. Or if he can use the stock Ion one.
my answer is this. I know little about Q-loaders. But I know a lot about Ions. And the stock neck isn't that good at all. You'd want to get a Q-lock for it. That way there wouldn't be a chance of the Q-loader's tube coming disconnected.

wtf you lookin at *****

Hey when loading balls into the Q-Pod make sure you don't twist the pod too tightly into the mounting socket because then a part of the pod will block the paintballs occasionally and won't allow a smooth load. You'd have to shake balls and crap.
But I got a question, you guys thing its worth putting a warp feed on a powerfeed style feedneck, instead of just the qloader elbow?

I would have to yes on that one, but not pool proof. The entire setup is durable plastic except for the spring(metal). The spring is inside the pod so it should be okay. But paintballs however are not waterproof they will swell like a mother if you leave them wet long enough.

The only issue you "may" have is the opening in the qloader when its in your harness.
This may allow water to get in if it pouring down rain. When its in the bracket, you wont have any issues.
The hole would be vertical in a normal pack and about the size of a quarter.
Since most packs are made of a type of seatbelt type material, you should be fine.
But on that note, if you fall into a puddle, you could ruin your balls in your back.

Oh...I forgot about the opening on the qPODS right? I would suggest just making sure when you strap them into your harness that the velcro belt covers the hole or make sure the hole is turn towards your back and it should be protected unless its pouring down.

If u leave both o-rings in the stock feedneck the Big-Q elbow is not comming out. It actually pulls out hard. You'll be just fine.

I bought a 200 round qloader recently and only one of the qpods work. Ill wind the qpod and put it into the gun, and nothing happens. I pre wound it and everything. It did this from the factory so I didnt brake it or anything.

I only have expertise in the version 1 w/ the white ball rotation limiter, but I think they perform similar. Im alittle confused by your post....are you saying that one qpod works and one does NOT work?
1. I would check to see if your prewinding is prewinding. Does it have a resistant when you prewind if not then the spring isn't locked on the black spiral shaft and it is just free spinning. I believe the version 2 has a nut you must tighten to a certain point.(READ your MANUAL)
2. I would check when the qpod is fully assembled does the pin from the mounting socket push the center piece from the qpod down far enough. If not..... then you have a broken mounting socket.

i didnt read all 51 pages so bear with me if my questions have already been answered. first how easy is it to change out qpods on the field? are you fighting with it or are we talking a pretty smooth swap? also how durable does the qloader seem when used as a foregrip/handguard? Last question, once you get used to it, is the qloader really worth the money?
thanks
nathan
