im not a regular argument guy with you guys but Id like to add

sweet spotting is when you throw the balls at a health arch and hit people who aren't visable. like if your laying down on the side of your bunker and lobbing them up to the back players...

Blind shooting is when you don't give a visable target when your shooting. its when people get hurt and anywhere in the midwest its illegal and often pulls a 2 fer 1. for example if you bunker someone and just throw your gun around the corner and shoot several times without having your body there.....or if you go over the top you just stick your gun in...the idea behind its being illegal is just that some newbs feel obligated to take of there masks at times and if your not watching where you shoot its easy to kill someone

also railing...I think its an important term and some people call it the same thing as sweet spotting. Its when off the break you dump your hopper in a general spot where you know the runners will have to go through. So instead of shooting at the runners your shooting at where they have to run through.

wahoo a cocker go you...anyway terminology changes by who your talking to...In central us like chicago minnapolis down into the south ive always read in there rules that blind shooting is defined as
essex paintballgames
Blind Shooting Is Not Allowed. Placing your gun around or over any obstacle and shooting without seeing what you are shooting at is not allowed. This is to protect other players and referees from getting shot at close range.

paintballworld
NO BLIND SHOOTING Player’s must always be looking at their targets

audre paintball park
no blind shooting. Your head must follow the line of site of the barrel.

I just went to google and typed in blind shooting paintball and it came up with rule book after rule book defining it just like I did.

about.coms glossary of terms names sweet spoting as Definition: Shooting from the moment of breakout to eliminate people immediately. thats slightly different than how its normally used but same general idea as railing.

paintball.com defines sweet spotting as
Sweet Spotting
Sweet-spotting (verb) is the art of dumping paint at the entrance, sweet spot (noun), of your opponents intended bunker in the hopes that that opponent will be running through your cloud of paint. To be simple, an opponent decides to move left to a different bunker. Dump a whole bunch of paint at the sweet spot so that he/she will have to go through your sweet spot to get to that bunker. Easy kill.

I just think you are going off what you personally feel it is. I don't mean to rain you you but there are several place with paintball dictionaries..

so you know im not just some newb simply because I don't have several thousand posts here. I am a mod at several sites and in general pretend to know what im talking about.

I added a separate definition of Blind Shooting. I differentiated between the two by designating one as the "tournament" definition and the other as the "recreational" definition.

Make sense to everyone?

Edit: Also added Sweet Spot.

Added the 3 different definitions for bounce, and had to take over the second reply due to post size limitations.

how about tape, run-through, and the different kinds of ball (rec, woods, tourney...), and if you want to get a little more in depth you could put on important parts of the guns and settings (solenoid, hammer, lpr, reg, dwell, etc.)

tape are the right and left sides of the field.

run-through... when ur uber Agg like levib and run down the field lightup everyone on the other team up and going home and ****in the prom queen

rec is playing with your friends on unregulated fields (renagade).

woods is playing in the woods, EXTREMELY self explanitory.

tournement is playing paintball competitively. just like any other tourney you compete against other guns.

selonoid is a 4way.. cant explain but i know what it is

hammer is what strikes the valve pin causes the cup seal to open and releasing air into the breech which fires the ball

LPR is already listed

reg is already listed

dwell has to do with electros and that effects how long the valve is open (i believe...)

etc = and so forth.

Uh... rec ball is the same as renegade?
To me, rec ball is any organized play that is not tourney.
Renegade is the same as outlaw or back-yard ball.
