Empire's customer service is a huge selling point. I've taken them some badly banged up items over the last couple years, and they've either fixed or replaced them, no charge, no questions. And as far as players go, I'm seriously a nobody.
I've had mine for about 4 years now. Never broken a ball or jammed. Haven't even had to adjust the speed on it. It's as untouched as the day it came out of the box. Seriously reliable, easy to clean, toolless assembly, and Empire's customer support is prime. The lines down the side of the hopper make it incredibly easy for you to adjust your spot shooting as well.
I bought a used Z2 here, guy said it worked great but it arrived broken.
I couldn't fix the problem, contacted Empire and I had the Z2 back in hand with a new board in about a week and a half.
This is on a used hopper. Their customer service has been amazing.
With that said I have also owned 3 prophecies and two other Z2's and all of them were flawless across the board..none of my own personal hoppers have ever had mechanical or electronic issues except when I accidentally ripped the battery cable out of its solder on the motor which I was able to resolder myself.
I have also never had a jam except when a large twig got into the hopper and got stuck in the raceway.
Prophecies are great, but it is worthwhile to step up to a Z2.
