Ssssssh if you let all the meatheads know that the PM8 is one of the biggest steals in paintball then we won't be able to get them so cheap.

The PM8 is competitive with just about any tournament level gun out there. And it shoots better than anything at its price point. I sold a Geo+ for 400 and bought a PM8 for 200. And the M8 shoots way better and feels better in the hands.

TL;DR: PM8 is a great gun.

Ribbon eyes do suck though.

Well said^^

Also, there are alot of people who think anything proto is in the rail family... when in fact the PM8 was used to test the new bolt design for the DM9. The PM8 sold so well they had to kill it. Ribbon eyes suck especially when the LPR is under the grip frame though. But yeah you can't beat it for the price, nothing comes close.

Personally I like the PM7 with UL frame better, the LPR is easier to get to and there isn't an eye pipe to worry about.... and its even cheaper than a PM8

I won the SEEDS series in ohio yesterday with a pm8....

But mine is a wee bit different.

"down grade" lol ive tried alot of guns and most of them fall short (of my preferences) to my pm8.9
  • Soft on paint because of LPR tuning.
  • drop in bolt system till dm11 super similar to dm12 and 13
  • Simpler eyepipe with spring detents
  • single tube design (had to wait till the dm14 for that one!)
  • more air efficient air channel routing. this is because the lpr is directly above the hpr instead of at the rear of the gun.

people just get caught up with the newstuff and automatically think its better. Dont let anybody look down on your pm8 because mine has been shot side by side next to GTi's OLED's Insights, LV1s, and so on and been deemed to shoot better.

Just go out and win with it man,

I'm a weekend warrior... or now with two kids monthly warrior lol. so I just play uncapped semi. You can find boards for the pm8 for pretty cheap actually, if you need to stick with 12.5.

Let the uninformed bash away and burn their hard earned cash on "upgrades"
There really haven't been any significant breakthroughs in paintball design since it was released for tournament style guns,as stated above this version has about anything you'd want in a Dye or other high end gun
I get this alot as I'm still shooting Ions

Stock is fine if you're a set and forget kinda guy, for me personally its not worth the extra $. If you're a serious tournament player then it might be worth looking at to get the extra features and have the ability to change settings without taking the grips off.

A plain GEO will definitely be a downgrade, make sure its at least a GEO 2 or 2.1
