Bought used marker. Buy official repair kit? Or form my own?

I bought a used Enmey, came marker only. I'm new to paintball but noticed my gun was leaking air halfway into my last game (not sure if it being 80-90 F outside helped with that).

I feel like I should service my gun to see if any of the orings are in bad shape. However I don't have the "official" repair kit to go with my gun.

My question is, am I better off buying the repair kit, or buying the pieces separately? Or maybe it's worth posting to see if anyone has a repair kit from an old enmey they can't use anymore.

Well first thing I would do is contact the seller and tell him what's happening. Did you test the marker upon receiving the marker?

I can try doing that. I did test the marker after getting it. Worked fine. (got the marker about a week to a week and a half ago).

Worked fine for a few hours during my game yesterday before it started hissing around the gun's regulator area. I screwed the tank to keep the air from leaking. Put it back in about 5-10 minutes later and was able to continue playing the rest of the day (3 more hours?).

Are you using co2, if so you probably have a oring that was freezing causing the leak.

Could you be more specific about what part of the gun or regulator was leaking?

It sounds like you're probably just in need of an O-ring and maybe a little grease, both of which you could probably find at your local hardware store tomorrow.

The trick, of course, will be figuring out which O-rings need replacing.
Here's some help with the sizing:

Tail o-rings are 010
Sail o-ring is 20mm OD, 2mm cross sectional, 16mm ID
Bolt bumper o-ring is 015 (014 works fine)
Outer bolt stop o-ring is 018
Inner bolt stop o-ring is 014
Breech o-ring is 017 (behind feedneck, and the SFT o-ring, but the SFT o-ring is typically a 90 durometer)
BOB o-rings are 018, the largest on the back of the BOB insert is 022 (not a required o-ring, just helps it stay snug in the plastic body)

Thanks! I needed that. I know I need to find some Dow33 grease. Can probably get that locally, or on amazon (same cost as GOG's site).

Would a local hardware shop normally carry all these oring sizes? I was thinking it might be easier just to buy the presorted bundle. But I'm also ignorant in this area right now.

I think everything but the sail O-ring is a standard size.
Rummage through the bins at Ace Hardware and you might be able to find something that would work.

After countless trips to the hardware store, I now highly recommend just buying rebuild kits.

5 rebuilds and you can make it a boxed kit with a pick and some dow 33 or slick honey

Rebuild kits are cheap and easy. And you definitely need some DOW33. You bolt should be cleaned and lubed before each time you play.
