Schrader Valve

I heard somewhere that the Victory line has a Schrader valve in the HPR, meaning if I take off the regulator and air it up, air won't gush out. Is this true? Am I able to take off the reg and air it up without losing air?

That is true, and it's a good way to test that the Schrader is working.

The point of have the valve in there is to check for leaks in the air transfer/ASA portions of the gun, correct?

Don't really see any other point for it...but maybe I am missing something?

i would assume that it is there in case something bad happens, like reg fall off, to prevent 800psi or so of air from freezing the hell out of a hand.

My men of past science all worked and figured out pressure/temperatures listed below.

Just an idea on why it may be there.

The point of the valve is the key functions of how the HPR works...

Any chance you can expand on this? How does the valve interact with the piston during the process of regulating the air? Curious because no other regs use one.

thanks

I know it's not a marq, and I hate to thread jack, but can you test the shrader in the lpr of the g6r the same way?

The schrader valve holds back the flow of air, when the piston is pushed up by the set screw, and spring stack it pushes against the schrader valve and allows for a flow of air through the reg.

*Pressure is created by the resistance to flow*

Here's an animation of a floating poppet reg (which BL regs are). It's upside down to how a BL reg is oriented, but it should give the basic visualization. Just imagine the green regulated air going back out next to the red input, and flip it vertically so the schrader is on top. As long as the schrader is closed, I guess you could air it up and it shouldn't leak even on the G6r.

I am guessing he was referring to the new generation of BL markers that are macrolineless.

Oh, very likely. But he left it open-ended so I figured I'd throw in my 2 cents.
