tank pressure for vcom?

Picking up a vcom in a trade, was just wondering if it is going to hurt the gun if I run a pod thru it using, an HP tank? I have a SLP reg coming with the vcom. I will be using both the VIS and the VCOM engines.

Might blow an oring or two at the body seals.

I think you will be fine . I have done it in the past with both the G6R and Victory. I blew the oring in the asa in the G6R after long term use

Ok, thanks. I'm only gonna use it to run a pod of paint thru it when I first get it. I will have my SLP reg on it before I play this weekend.

I wouldn't do it ... but make sure you have some spare 1x4mm o-rings and double check the two screws that hold the body and frame together are tight if you give it a go.

Do not do it. I blew a pin in the spool and a ball bearing in the lpr... Use low pressure!

Im not sure how using a higher pressure tank would do this. Arent the regs designed to regulate pressure? Why would you need to get pressures to SLP levels for the regs to do their job?

I also would not do it, but not because of pb fanatics post. Not sure how using a HP tank would do that either.

Seems silly to risk blowing out O-rings. What output is the tank? If you can get it to 550, you are fine, but pumping 800 psi into it just to test it before you play seems like a bad choice.

This is how I feel. Its really to make sure you arent blowing frame orings, which is a legit concern. Normal LP should suffice tho. If the regs are doing their jobs, they should be able to handle the pressure. I feel like Bob would keep that in mind. People are going to put HPA tanks on the markers. If you send them out with regs that will self destruct under standard HPA pressure, youre gonna have a bad time.

The Regs should not be a concern ... it is the sealing o-rings at the ASA and between the body and frame that I would be most concerned about.
I know plenty of people who have run 800 PSI outputs on Victories and have not had an issue. Others have had problems blowing out those o-ring seals in the past though too.
I have never seen a seal fail when using 550PSI and under output pressures.
