Sorry I'm late to post these.

There are some seriously impressive features in this gun:

Quote:
Simply put, the computer monitors how the gun is shooting and makes adjustments to the settings on the fly; this ensures the gun is shooting the best it can at every shot. The Zealots multi-sensing system and computer calculate the bolts speed and cycle times, and dual transducers monitor the pressures within the gun, watching the low pressure that moves the bolt and the firing pressure that shoots the ball. The computer uses this data to adjust the settings in real time, shot to shot, to keep the gun shooting optimally regardless how fast you’re shooting. It can also make use of this data to alert the user to possible issues affecting the performance of the gun, and in some cases the software will even attempt to compensate for it.

All this is done without the person shooting the gun ever needing to do anything, as a player you don’t even have to know that the gun is doing all this.

Quote:
Specs:

- Tool-free bolt removal and cleaning; only one component requires regular maintenance
- single bore, balanced spool valve bolt
- 100% user-serviceable internal O-rings and seals; no custom seals are used throughout the marker
- customizable volumizing foregrip

- Adjustable bolt speed control (dampening)
- internally-routed air supply with self-aligning pressure couplings
- pressure-balanced pneumatics within the LPR
- dual temperature-compensated pressure transducers for both the LPR and dump valve
- 9664 pixel OLED display screen, board speaker, and multicolor LED for quick marker status
- micro-USB computer interface for settings adjustment, custom features, and at-home board updates
- backwards-compatible with traditional foregrip regulators and ASAs
- auto-bleed tank pin on/off lever
- hourglass frame ergonomics
- spring-loaded, angled detents
- trigger features externally adjustable pre-travel, post-travel, firing point, and pull tension
- concealed double roller bearing trigger pivot
- boss-latch style low-rise feedneck (feedneck compatible with Empire, J4, Nummech)
- no wiring harness
- game Timer

Electronics:

- Multi-sensor bolt tracking system
- autonomous firing adjustment – all settings have been eliminated

- FSDO has been eliminated
- automatically compensating marker operation irrespective of weather conditions, over lubrication, under lubrication, bolt splatter slowdown, temporal distortions, etc.
- multiple performance feedback modules – cleaning/maintenance monitoring, loader speed monitoring, bolt speed dampening setup, true regulator performance, others

- Most powerful electronics ever used in paintball

Pretty cool. Without knowing exactly how the "computer" inside the gun functions, it sounds a lot like what J4 is doing with a hall effect sensor to have the gun self time, eliminating fsdo/other bolt related and weather related conditions, but to a little bit of a greater extent. Also releasing the cad for the gun to be able to customize and 3d print things.

I would much rather more companies do things like this. It allows for the community to make awesome things for these guns. I still don't think I would drop my torque for this because I am really liking the Stacked Tube Spool setup, but would really like to shoot one of these. Who knows, it might change my mind drastically.

damn you for putting out ideas that will more then likely fall short. if you do manage to make this marker with all these features you will revolutionize how we view our markers.
i am skeptical this will be as great as advertised but i will try to wait patiently for a prototype video as proof

Nice, but looks like several other markers out there. Needs something visual to make it stand out from other markers at a distance.

This will always be a thing though... At this point in time the only real visuals you can change between all spools and poppets are the milling. Otherwise you will always have similarities between regs, frame, feedneck, Asa, barrel. It's the quality of internals and operation that matter imo.

Internally, it will be similar to a 4B quest (which is one of the most underrated guns/ bolt systems ever).

The type of programming they're talking about is fairly straight-forward from a variable control/ isolation standpoint. I am a pretty big fan of Ydna in general and have been following this project for a VERY long time. I will probably be an early adopter and expect this to shoot very soft with solid efficiency.

I wonder if the marker's programming will be vulnerable to StuxNet?

I really like the direction paintball is headed with technology, in particular I think temperature sensitive pressure controls will help during the summer months when the mornings are cool but the afternoons are hot.

That said I'm skeptical that adding these things to a marker will make it more reliable or shoot significantly better than current markers. Can't wait to see what it can do in the real world. At the very least it could be a step forward for marker design.

All this technology is nice, but the more they do, the more there is to go wrong.

"autonomous firing adjustment – all settings have been eliminated"

This all kind of reminds me of the Sandridge setup with HES sensors.

I'm certainly a fan of the layout. It's a proven bolt system. The Quest and the Zr1.5 were both smooth shooting very efficient spoolies. This is certainly a refinement of the Zr1 layout (hpr asa, lpr in the back, foregrip air chamber) with the on/off ring and the 4b anti turbulence stem.

How grand the board is we all are waiting to see. If that's awesome then we have a winner. As it stands, in my opinion my zr1.5 (when it's working well) is the match of a dm14 or a non oled luxe. Plus it gets a hell of a lot more shots per tank. I'm really hoping the Zealot puts it all together and blows the lid off the old guard of top guns. Should be an awesome gun. The only thing out maybe missing is a soft tip bolt but who knows what they will be released with.
