This is a continuation of something I'd brought up in another thread, but was so far off the topic of that thread that I felt it belonged on it's own (and I went a year with making like 1 thread and I've made 3 in the past week or so, not bad). Anyhow, as I was saying, a set of really weird coincidences have led to my current situation of people constantly meeting violent ends when I'm around. Not around like "hey, some guy a few miles away got killed by his kids" but around like, within a kilometer (two thirds of a mile or something). For instance

5 people get murdered within a block of me, that's cool my neighbourhood sucks and is ghetto as all hell, alot of murders for only 8 months or so but no surprise really

Then I'm in the hallway at school waiting for a friend and he doesn't show up. I get to my car and start driving home and see an ambulance pulling into my school on my way out. Someone got shot in the back repeatedly in the hallway I was in right after I'd left. He managed to live though (hoorah)

I'm driving by my school on a saturday night to go see friends out in Pickering. That night someone in the residence parking lot got shot in the neck repeatedly. Funny because my school hasn't had any problems up until now really and here we have two within a few months

I'm downtown hanging out with some friends in Toronto at a bar. We leave and a few bars over someone gets shot dead on the street not an hour after we'd left

Then Monday night I go to stay at my mom's house in a upper class respectable condominium area with all sorts of cafes and yuppy restaurants. The next morning I'm stepping over police tape because someone got stabbed to death in the penthouse


All of this is since June. Try and tell me that's not just a little bit ****ed up

EDIT: Oh and I forgot to mention that all of this has happened since June, so in 9 months

And that, my friend, is why my little town of 331,000, is MUCH better than Toronto. We don't HAVE shootings.......that often.

Several, but not so bad I need them removed from this mortal coil. If you wanna party in a totally serence place, with like 16 people in a cottage this weekend, you gotta come down. Saturday night, we get blitzed, do random stuff around town. The cops know us by name, but since we don't damage anything* they're pretty cool when we're making too much noise.

Rich thinks its funny to call my city a "town" or "village", cause we have far less of a population. But for the amount of sucking Toronto has over London, I think we reign supreme for coolness.
