Zero installation question

Just got a zero kit for my kaos. Everything it came with makes since where it goes except for this little ring i got with it. does anyone know where that goes? i can post a picutre if needed but it is a small ring with a little bigger diameter than the striker spring included.
thanks!

not sure about a ring, but theres a small metal disk that goes inside the zero assembly.
Z013 i think is the part number. it goes between the zero adjustment screw and the zero spring

That little guy. The zero assembly came all together. It's not a complete circle it has a break in it and they are offset.

put the zero system in and did some tuning today. my cp reg was about 2 1/2 turns out. velocity adjuster maybe halfway in. gun was shooting +/- 4 over chrono.... very impressed. Super quiet and almost no kick.

I was kinda thinking the kit would do nothing. I was wrong. It's quiet and smooth, smoother than a cocker or even an etek/older egos.
Maybe a wee bit kickier than my automag but definitely more efficient. Have a KP on the way. Pretty stoked about them.

There is nothing wrong with the blowback design, never was in my opinion. the issue is that kingman/spyder started using proprietary parts and made guns as cheaply as possible. Not to mention they pumped model after model out that were exactly the same with a different name and pricepoint, when those models didn't sell they whored themselves out to wal-mart.
The fact that there is a stacked tube blowback on the market today that is light, made with quality, Uses a standard feedneck thread, barrel thread, detents, and has a VASA where I can put whatever regulator I want on there. The dovetail milled frame particularly impressed me.

Granted the 'upgradability' of markers is going away. I see many more guns going to built in regulators and gas through asa's (most of the regs are in the asa's these days I believe. I have no issue with this, but my problem is that some of these setups are not servicable with standard parts. If your field does not have a dealership with the company chances are they won't have parts to get your clone or luxe up and running.

Proprietary parts have always irritated me, and i like that azodin is moving away from that. Do they have any plans to move on to a ram driven poppet marker? Since they have perfected the stacked tube blowback.

I've been barking up that tree for a while. A nice fasor or even a dump valve. Both are simple designs. But I think they are content with stbb's for now. With that said I'd like to see a slimmer grip frame and/or a "half block" azodin. Something smaller, lighter...etc a drastic change from the obvious.

I have no complaints about the grip frame. maybe a 90* frame on the pump would be cool. I like a meatier grip frame. having a deep cut like an ego on the body would be pretty sweet.

I think they may still have some plans to improve the STBB platform but a new design marker is surely welcomed. Maybe a spoolie or poppet, who knows bro. Azodin is a great company who has much to show this industry through great products and even greater Customer Service.

side note: Don't you think it's crazy that this low price point company can make a marker that shoots mother than an Etek and older Ego's???????? makes you wonder.....

I don't know how the electronic iterations of this gun would hold up to case after case (after case after case) of tournament play. Not to mention STBB's are kinda hard on paint. But yeah judging based ONLY on shot quality it's kinda pathetic that these guns shoot smoother than them.

A simple investment of less than $10 can buy a spring kit so that you may lower your opporating pressure and reduce the mechanical kick of the marker. This should ensure you are able to shoot brittle paint. Also I have never heard anything about the board failing or not able to keep up with tournament play.

The zero kit is about as low pressure as you can get from an STBB. I haven't heard of anyone using a zenith in a tournament, I wasn't trying to imply they wouldn't be able to keep up. I was just saying I haven't heard of any feedback. So perhaps I came off wrong

Also i'm doing a cure style bolt mod on my kaos to take it a step further. oring on the front to reduce rollback. and a small ramp on the top to reduce stack clipping. Will post pics.

I don't understand why blowbacks get such a bad rep. seems like people on here and the subreddit for paintball love to bash blowbacks. I'm lighting people up with guns that cost way more on the field.

also I love the zero. I bought the last orange one that ansgear had but it had a defect and when I returned it to Azodin they said they don't make them in orange anymore. was upset cuz my gun looked MEAN with that thing on

This is a vid that I made a while back, but it needs to be redone because I talk to much about random BS.

BUT!

It may prove useful for this thread.
