It's alot heavier. I would say about twice as heavy. What metal taking away are you referring too?

He's talking about the reduction behind the bolt face...if memory serves, this is basically what pooty was doing with his bolt mod.

I'm curious to the choice of using brass and the Exalt soft face bolt tip. I tried the Exalt bolt faces on my stock and Lurker bolts for my Axe and did not like them. As for brass, well there are plenty of other materials that could have been used instead of brass to achieve the same effect. I probably should pickup a stock bolt and this one, then make a shaft from SS and just sell the shaft as an upgrade like this should have been, since it's a stupid simple part to turn.....

Also the bolt is made from steel instead of aluminum thus adds more weight.

You sure? Doesn't look like steel to me. Steel seems to be an odd choice for the bolt.

I doubt the bolt is made from steel. At least it looks like raw aluminum to me.

Who said bob isn't making them? Bob machines them and uses the exalt bolt tip.

Pm me if you have anymore questions.

Yeah I never heard that Bob wasn't making them. I'm guessing people figure that since it's an upgrade that it must be aftermarket.

I can't be sure from the pic if the bolt head is steal or not, but the poppet motor bolt head is steel, so why not? However when folks like yourpbfriend who actually have these bolts in their hands say they are not steel, then I think its safe to say that the bolt head is probably aluminum.

Bolt head is aluminum. Shaft is brass. Tip is exalt. Bob manufactures these and adds exalt tip. Heavier system than stock. Slows bolt speed down.

Facts^ you welcome.

yes...exactly what I was saying. I don't get why people are saying this is made by someone else besides Bob.

Insights have been coming like that since about a month or two from initial release. Bob said he didn't really see a benefit but it made it lighter and less to drag so why not.

It's the same bolt head just with the exalt tips. The new head works on the old shafts too. All this is coming from the fact that I have had and used the exact system released. What soccer stud says is all true.

my settings

5.19bd
debounce 05ms
mech debounce 01
trigger filter 07
dwell 11.0ms
bolt delay 05ms
bd delay 00ms (i have 4c eyes)

when i first got the insight, the fsdo was atrocious. i changed all the 010 o rings to 010 quad rings and it helped a ton but some fsdo is still there. i think it could be the lube i'm using. currently using techt gun sav.
