Fix to possible sunlight/ACE issue
There has been some talk that the Cyborg's eyes may be affected by bright sunlight. I personally haven't experienced this issue, which sometimes occurs on markers with a similar break-beam eyes setup.
Someone on this forum mentioned something in some thread (really specific huh? ) about coating the back of the sensors to help keep out the light... I happened to have some black "Plasti-Dip" in the garage, which is used to coat tool handles and can be found in any home improvement store. Its the rubber-like material found on the grips of pliers and the like. I dabbed a very small amount on the back portion of the eyes and allowed it to dry. After re-installing, it looks like no light can affect the eyes from cover-side any longer! Pretty cool stuff. The "dip" can also be scrapped away if ever needed in the future and it is easy to work with. One can of this stuff could coat 10,000 eyes... all for only a few bucks. I'll try to post pics of the finished product.
Let me know what you think.
[Update: Here's a pic!]

I believe that was me. I had suggested using Liquid Electrical tape which can also be bought from a hardware store such as Home Depot for about $5. Pretty much the same thing you did. Good stuff

Right. That "liquid electrical tape" is probably the same kind of stuff. Added the picture to help with the visualization. Maybe MacDev could do this to all of their eyes before shipping/installing? The price is definitely right!

Is this even true? i mean how is light getting in there with the low rise, paintballs, hopper neck, eye covers and what not all sealed up?

...the eye covers *aren't* sealed.. that's the point. Light gets around the eye covers and gets to eye from the back.

Well be the problem fixed or still there, your Borg wasn't experiencing any problems I could notice KM. Though you are right, I don't know what people are talking about. They sound just a little quieter than say.... a Timmy. But nothing worth raving about, it's still quite noticable. Probably depends on the barrel though.

I still don't think it ramps...again, not any more then a WAS Timmy or WAS Viking etc. With the eyes turned on, and shooting paint, I don't think it ramps at all...period.
In my opinion, all the ramping issues are being created by people who would rather sell their own guns, (timmy, Viking, Impulse, whatever...) because they don't sell the Cyborg. But that is MY opinion, not necessarily that of Mac Dev or any other company.
