How many novice players are you allowed to field on a div 3 xball team?

Damn that sux . We are in DIII and I was hoping for a competative divisions. Not that the remaining teams are not competitive but loosing good talented teams isnt as challenging. But sandbaggers arent cool either. Either way see you in LA.

If you're worried about being unchallened, then why play at the lowest division?

Eh, not true at all. I have never played a national event before. How can you call me a sandbagger? Last year in November was my first tournament. Come on now, I just like challenging teams. We are all new to national events therefore we are starting at the lowest level. If you can, look at our player's profiles you can see that we are in the right division. If we do well this year or not, regardless I am pretty sure my team will bumb up to the next division. Now dont ever call me a sand bagger again, thanks!
And if you need to check out my history on Tournaments my name is Rory Namimatsu.
Check it out if you dare.
Hope to see you in LA

After 3 events in D3 you will have to bump up.

Eh?
That 3-events bump up is a non-rule.
X Ball is the same as 5-man and 10-man: Once you play your SECOND PSP event, you will be Novice at the start of the NEXT season.

Chris...is time a factor with that rule?
For example: Billy plays his first Rookie PSP at Cup 2002 then doesn't play another one until Chicago 2003 and is still playing Rookie. Would that mean that the next event Billy plays he would have to reclassify himself as a Novice player?
thx

As I understand it Billy can continue the rest of season as a rookie. Remember Billy can still play rookie with 2 other Novs as long as the rest are rookies the following season

The bump-up to Novice happens at the END of the season - so once you play your second event, you've got until the end of that season to keep playing rookie.
So, if you played Rookie in LA in 2002, then Rookie at Cup in 2003, you're Novice now. If you played Rookie in LA in 2002 and play Rookie in LA in two weeks, you can continue to play Rookie for the rest of 2004, but will then be Novice in 2005. If you played LA Open in 2003 as Rookie and World Cup in 2003 as Rookie, you're now Novice as well.
Basically, you get one "freebie" event, then whenever you play the next event is your Rookie season, regardless of how many events you play that season. After that, you're Novice.

Lets say billy is playing xball as a rookie in 2004. all events.
Hes never played before 04' , BUT billy gets invited to play three Super 7 events in the same year. As a rookie.
Does he still get to play the last PSP event of 04 as a rookie.???
In other words, automatic bumping up only occours between the years/seasons. Correct?.
