and before you ask, the local PD has been notified by MULTIPLE people about this as it is on public park land.

he has also been emailed about this being unsafe and he responded talking about how his paintball gun has been modified to shoot over 600fps

No chrono? Yeah, sounds safe. I saw an ad like that in my town, but I couldn't do anything since it was happening on private property.

Wow...a woodsball game in a public area where, as per his own ad, there are hikers and fishermen using the same area and which is proudly advertised as having no FPS limit.

I am speachless.

That whole group needs to have a good ol' azzwhoopin. Going to ruin it for everyone doing stupid, irresponsible things like this.

There does seem to be a shortage of good woodsball fields in that corner of the state though. Boneyard doesn't have any, and the woodsball course at Do-it-all looks more like speedball in the shade. Plus neither offers CO2 fills. I've seen that drive off a few outlaw players before. Talking with some of the outlaw players on this side of the state their feeling on "hpa only" fields is they spent good money for those 20oz'ers which have been powering their guns just fine, but that's not "good enough" for your field? Little things like that can make a player feel unwelcome, so they stop showing up and go off and do their own thing, with the above results.

How far is the nearest field that runs regular big games and scenario games?

Siege does but that's a bit south.

Most of Wisconsin has an hour+ drive to ANY field.

The bigger issue with outlaw ballers is that they typically don't want to have to pay field fees and shoot field paint. Now, there's plenty of outlaw groups that do it right all across the state (and I'd assume, every other state, too). They have private land, they have and enforce a safe area, they have and use a chronograph. Flip side is that there's also no lack of bad groups that play wherever they want, don't give a damn about safety, and who knows what else.

The no FPS limitation is just crazy to me. Even I own a chrono for outlaw ball and I regularly make bad decisions.

I think that the Christmas Story message applies here. You will shoot your eye out.

All of it was fine until the no fps limit. This is what you call an outlaw field ran by newbies. Experienced players will have their own SCUBA tanks, chronographs, tools, and parts. CO2 is a harder portable gas to use than HPA. SCUBA tanks are more portable and fill faster without having to adjust anything. If you ever saw how easy it was to fill an HPA tank with a SCUBA tank, you would wonder why you never did it before.

The two things that got me was the no FPS limit AND the fact they're playing in a place where they could encounter other folks who aren't wearing safety gear for paintball...other than that everything else is fine...but those two are some big red flags...

The players are also allowed to run with scissors, play with plastic bags and cross street on a red light.

This is happening in Canada too where the laws are way more strict concerning projectile launchers. Wow just wow.

The argument that outlaw balling is less stupid because of the distance they travel is laughable at best. My closest field is 47 minutes away, and is trash. For Speedball, I have to travel over an hour away, and I do it every weekend. This is just irresponsible people once again giving our sport a bad name. If it's private property, fine. But this is PUBLIC PARKS. Unbelievable.
