*POLL* LV1 vs GEO 3.1 vs Luxe Oled vs DM14

If you were to have one marker which would you pick? Curious as to see people's preferences in some type of graph form. Feel free to explain why you would choose one over the other. Keep it mature and no flaming. Please vote in the poll.

I've shot them all, I prefer the Geo 3.1, that guns extremely reliable and has almost no recoil.

Personally prefer the lv1 for the same reasons listed as the guy above, but I like the feel and aiming of egos. Not to mention that I love the twister series lv1s and that sold me that much more.

I've shot them all but the dye 27. 3.1 is a 3 first of all (they shoot the damn same). Don't waste money on the lv1 transfer tube when macro works just fine on the 3. So if choosing the geo save money an get a 3

The luxe in my opinion kills the geo in ergonomics and shot quality, the geo however you don't have to baby at all. The luxe requires the engine re lube every or everyother weekend of play, and needs to be charged beforehand. The geo doesn't.

They get similar efficiency (spool valves) but lurker just came out with a new bolt for the luxe that people are figuring out the best way to use. (It's a work in progress) that should increase the efficiency of the luxe to beat the geo if the luxe is set up well.

The Lv1 is my top pick for your best option. And many will whine and cry and act like I took a piss in their Cheerios by saying this. The lv1 is ergonomically the best of the 3 in my opinion. It's long, points well, and the rubber grips are bomb. You won't notice the air transfer tube while you're holding the marker in a normal fashion, it's by far the most efficient of the 3, and the easiest to maintain.

I do not believe in "kick" in the paintball world. Barrel rise however is a good topic.

Lv1 with the lightweight rammer has no kick shooting at velocity. And very little with the heavy rammer.

Geo3-3.1 has slight barrel rise at velocity.

Luxes in general have no kick at velocity.

Lv1 is most efficient by far.

Lv1 is easiest to maintain by far.

I don't and will never recommend a geo.

You can't go wrong with a luxe or a Lv1 they're both winners at a similar game.

Ditto ...
If I was given the choice and given the marker for free, I would pick the Luxe for the higher resale, sell it and get a different marker.

I voted luxe. I love mine, used it and abused it and it never let me down. I like the ergonomics, battery feature (no more 9volts for this guy) shot quality and simplistic design. It's so easy to disassemble.

I've shot a team mates 3.1 and liked it, but I like the feel of the luxe a tad more.

Nothing better than that Lv1 bolt pin snapping back and forward.

All four of those markers excel at different things.

LV1 - best stacked tube on the market
GEO 3.1 - not a great spool shotwise, but reliable
LUXE - all about shot quality, take care of her and she is just as reliable as the other two, but a remarkably better shot.
DM14 - still the same tech essentially as every dm since the 9, some people like that.

Personally, I wouldn't spend $1500 on a DM or a GEO (unless it gets the GSL engine sooner rather than later), so I'd make a choice between a Luxe or a LV1 {and insert mandatory plug for a Clone GTi - smoothest shooting marker and most efficient spool (bar the bob long insight) on the market.

my personal preference is the LV. I own 3 of the 4
markers (well my Luxe is not OLED but still) and I
do like my LV the most. granted my 3.1 is still not
broken in yet, but the LV is smoother. I really like
the Luxe, but it's less efficient and a tad heavier.

the DM I only shot, but I hate the front grip with
a passion. love the way DMs have been shooting,
probably since the 8 or 9 but I just can't seem to
understand why they keep their flagship marker
consistently lacking in features, just so they and
other companies (Dye's own words) can keep on
selling you upgrades for it. that's just wrong imo.

^^^^ This. I have played extensively with all four and the LV1 for the said reasons is why I would choose it over the rest.

Luxe. I'm not a fan of poppets so the LV1 is irrelevant to me.

I own both an LV1 and 3.1.

Personally, you can't go wrong with the LV1. I like my LV1 better than my 3.1.

I have shot a Luxe before. They are nice markers but reliability and efficiency are more important to me than shot quality. I have seen a couple Luxes go down at my local fields I play at.

It depends on what you want in a marker. LV1 vs. Luxe if you ask me. I love my 3.1, too, but I love my LV1 more. Spool vs. Poppet really.

I like to play front/snake so naturally I need a smaller marker that feels good and allows me to move easily. I feel that the GEO 3.1 fulfills these needs ergonomically and performance wise.

Technically speaking. It's not a traditional poppet. It's a lever valve. Though it's often confused. And either way. Have you shot an lv1 with the light rammer? If not you ought to try it. One pod could change your view....

Yes, I have shot them. I used one for several events and all the practices before those events. I still prefer the luxe out of the markers listed here.
