If this really is the same length as the standard 77 then I'm all about it.

This is correct. I have a 68 SL and i think i might be getting rid of it. I like everything else but the length, its just too small. I have an extender on it but i feel like it off sets the balance of my gun. im unsure if i need the 77 or the 90 though. Nate any idea on when dealers should have these?

It's a half inch longer than the standard 77.

The 90 SL tanks are shipping immediately so within this week or next I am sure many dealers will have them available

Since the SL tanks are smaller, keep the 77 the same length and make it more narrow. That would be money... That's why I switched back to my GA 70. Its lighter and has a smaller diameter so it makes the marker way easier to handle. (Still have my Pro reg on it!)

I don't know a whole lot about the process for making tanks but I don't think its that simple. You can't just pick and choose what diameter and length you want with a certain capacity and they are using different materials for the SL tanks so I'm sure thats a factor as well.

Luxfer 70/45 is the best tank Ninja ever produced. If a 77 comes out in that length then Im all in.

I bought (possibly the first one publicly sold?) one on friday as soon as ninja opened up the tent, saturday rolls around and i slipped on bedlam because there was so much paint on the concrete and landed tank first, gel coating already cracked because i'm stupid

That is NOT a bad review on the tank just so nobody takes it the wrong way, when it hits directly on concrete it the gel will probably start chipping hah

Get a tank cover...

What tank was on the purple cocker in the booth? Was that a 90SL? If so I'm really digging that tank. I like using 88's on my axe so I can run more points without getting air but the weight of the 88 makes my ****ing Relay regulator wobble so bad after a day of play.

90 it's just too much for me. I'd rather wait for 77.
hopefully it will be the same size as a normal 68...

I heard a rumor that 77 SLs were *almost* ready in time for LL, so hopefully it won't be so long....

but, as I said, it's a rumor. Hard to tell how much faith to place in it....but I put a lot of hope in it, since I'll buy one the minute it's available.

The SL sounds cool... until you actually hold one.

Then it is simply amazing.

This is completely accurate. The most telling is when you compare the weight of it in your hand next to a typical tank. The weight difference is remarkable.
