nps e2...stupid question

This is the first time for my team coming up to fox for a tournament...just curious as to what time we should arrive there so we can walk the field and whatever else is needed to do. We are d5. And how does it work for the tournament? Is it d4 in the am and d5 in the afternoon or how does it work?

Sorry for the dumb question but I had to ask. Thanks in advance

You're in for a good day....
Playing D5, you will being starting your divisional games later, around 11:30/ noon.... but do yourself a huge favor and get there much earlier.
D4 games start around 8am... once their preliminary matches are done, D5 Pre-lims start, with D4's Semi-Finals mixed in until they are finished.
You will have a chance to walk the field before the D5 pre-lims start, but if you're there first thing, you can also walk it before the day starts.
I personally like to arrive earlier. It gives you the chance to walk the field and maybe pick up tips from D4 teams, but it also gives the opportunity to watch the D4 matches and see how they are playing the layout. Not to mention, you wont be rushed in getting ready, and will have time to get signed in, work out issues with gear, players, etc., get your paint ready and podded.
Although Fox 4 will post a schedule for all matches before Sunday, its important to note that they REGULARLY run NPS tournaments a few minutes ahead of schedule....
So if you're used to running 2 hrs behind schedule, and watching the sun set while waiting for your next match, you're in for a pleasant surprise. If your first match is , say, 12:10pm, expect to be ready to take the field at 12:00 sharp!!

It's also worth noting that your interval between matches is no more than 20 minutes usually.
I say this because I've seen more than once a team called to staging, and some of its players are up in the store or in the parking lot eating, expecting longer intervals.
And the match WILL go on, even if it means you play 2 men Down because # 4 and 5 are waiting for their burger and arent paying attention.

@Bad71
They didn't do that at NPS E1, our D5 team took the field at 830am.
Basically get there at 7-730am and you can walk the field and scout other teams.

It all comes down to how many teams in each division. For the first event we didn't have enough to split the divisions up. However, this time around we do. So we'll be running the Novice/D4 guys in the morning session and the Rookie/D5 guys in the afternoon session. However, as Bad71 points out - we tend to run ahead of schedule. Times posted in the schedule (once posted) are just a guideline - teams are responsible for watching the play and schedule and making sure they're at the field for their matches.

Right now I'd figure the morning session will start around 8:30AM and the afternoon session will start around 11:00-11:30 (ok - not actually afternoon yet).

Thank you very much for your answers. A few of us are staying in a hotel up in the area so we dont have to wake up real early for the two hour drive so that should make it a little easier to be there early. Ive heard nothing but good about the field up there so I cant wait till sunday to get there and play. Not to hope weather holds out...im sure most of us have played in the rain but I dont think anyone likes to lol

Last event was in the rain and you got some serious sliding in. But it all went well and it cleared up around 1. Suppose to be really nice out on Sunday.

I wont speak on behalf of the field (just trying to get you an answer ASAP), but NPS events are usually 4 Star GI Sportz for $60/ case.
But, again, Im sure Dave will confirm/ deny that.
