Actually it has nothing to do with the warrany... WAS boards can't use rechargebles because they don't put out a true 9v. Over voltage will cause the same symptoms as under voltage. That's why they are not recomended for WAS boards.

I dont know , but if they see that the board have received an overcharge , it s pretty simple to know that is a batteries default...

Can you please answer the question of the thread , not arguing on WAS board... I have two at home so , no need advice for them...

Well, that's a bunch of BS actually. A) Had you read the first post, he's referring to batteries that *DO* put out 9v+, not the crappy Energizers that put out 7.2. B) Even if they were Alkaline batteries, those don't consistantly put out 9v either. As their life drops, so does their output voltage. As long as the batteries are charged properly (ie. Not overcharged), you'll be fine.

And if YOU had read MY post thoroughly... you would have read that I said OVER VOLTAGE... which means putting out MORE than 9Vs. I never said they put out less... I said they don't put out a TRUE 9Vs, meaning not exactly 9Vs. WAS boards cannot use batteries that output more than 9Vs. And as far as WAS boards are concerned 9+Vs rechargeables, properly charged or not, will not work.

Maybe you should really read and understand what was said first before calling someone's post "a bunch of BS".

ICEMAN, I've yet to use up the stock battery that came with my Cyborg so I not had to make that decision yet. But to play it safe, I'd use a lithium 9v first unless MacDev says its ok.

I wasn't trying to refer to what you said as a bunch of BS, I was referring to WAS saying rechargables wouldn't work. Sorry I wasn't clear on that, but that wasn't intended for you.

As for the 9v, when people say the batteries don't put out a true 9v, usually they're refering to the fact that many put out less than 9v. I personally think if the WAS board can't handle the extra 0.4 - 0.6v, there's a design flaw in the board itself.

slightly off topic...

Is there an automatic shutoff on the Cyborgs, in case you leave the marker turned on?

The battery is the one thing I really hate about the Cyborg, but then again i've never been a fan of Neverready.

Not sure about rechargeable either. I put a Duracell Procell in mine (Industrial use battery) and it lasted 5 Cases of actual paint, and about a week and a half of the constant draining of airtanks demonstrating the speed of the gun. So, I would guess about 15,000 - 20,000 shots. It all depends on how much you shoot the gun without paint though. IMO it does seem to get a decent amount of shots per 9 volt.

I hope that's closer in line to the answer you were asking for Iceman.2.

OH I LOVE the Sticky 3's Jen got me for Valentine's Day

Just had to throw that in there...it didn't seem right trying to stay on topic in a forum.

BTW Iceman.2 The Cyborgs just left Seattle at 9:41 PST. There is a good chance if I get the duties paid up in time (they haven't been assessed yet) that I will have them tomorrow...
