Price range? How much faster and why? I personally hate the looks of the SV650 but it's a solid bike. I'd get some miles in and then see what you think then. I spent a while borrowing and what not before I actually determined I didn't want a sportbike. Guys at various dealers were kind of weird about it actually, except the Harley and Victory dealers, they both assumed the only bike on the planet was what they sold. Victory guys being slightly worse which seemed weird.

Take that screen off and find out where your bike is lacking.

List addition: 2014 BMW S1000R

Looks like the only one actually.

Hmm, idk I want a nicer looking bike really. Although once I get the dumb **** off if this it may look better. The damn shield has the turn signals mounted to it. And they won't fit on the stock mounts. Anywhere to look for replacement turn signals?

Nicer how? Some would call a newer cruiser nicer, others mean a Harley or completely different type of bike.

You should be able to slap some signals on it cheaply. I'll dig later.

Endless options. What do ypu want out of your bike?

Thanks and something newer, not as loud and that'll run better. This has a bit of a delay when pulling out.

Oh, just ride around town and on the bypass to have a little fun. To work some, maybe have the girl on the back on weekends. No off-road, no track.

Was wondering something similar. Sounds like a good cleaning couldn't hurt either.

I would question a few things. Riding technique first. Even a Honda XR100 has enough get up to piss around with. My bike, in the wrong gear, doesn't have any *** either. Beyond that you can make sure things are clean and proper. Clean/lube the cables, make sure the slide isn't sticking, make sure things are adjusted properly.

Otherwise you have what seems to be a sound bike to satisfy the criteria outlined above. If you decide different you'll know considering how much of this is emotional.

A naked bike seems fitting too, but so would a Dyna or newer version of what you have.

I know this bike has a ****ed up seal or something in the head gasket? Leaks a very minor amount of oil. Buddy said I should run seafoam through it? And I'll check out a tune up. Honestly if I could find those turn signals and get the shield and bag off I really like the look and comfort of the bike.

The guy said I could change the sprocket? And it would be a lot faster. Tops out around 80 on the speedometer currently.

seafoam won't fix an oil leak.

You should be able to put most any $30 eBay turn signals on there...

Seafoam in the gas tank might help clean out crap in the carb, which would help get rid of hesitation. If it's burning oil you could attempt to retorque the head bolts or replace the bolts all together.

Can you find the actual source of the leak?

It will only do 80? Are you tached out or will the bike just refuse to pull anymore?

I have no idea, haven't gotten it up that fast. It gets REALLY loud around 65.

It's from the head gasket I think
