yes, try only one row of stars. and a smaller GI emblem above the crotch will make it less obnoxious looking. either way im liking the whole "lighter" concept and the breathability looks good. GI emblem is already very recognizable no need to overdo it.

To the person wondering about the basketball player - yes, it was Turiaf (spelling?). He came out to support the Challenge for Children big Game at MN Pro Paintball in Lakeville, MN. I saw him, but since I don't follow basketball, had no idea he was someone famous. Read an article about him and his support for kids with medical needs - he sounds like one hell of a nice guy.

As to the pants - at a glance - the fabric covering the thighs looks really glossy. To me, that says something like plastic or canvas. In other words, something that won't breathe and is going to hold in the heat. I don't know what material to suggest instead, but I want my pants to breathe as much as possible.

I am with the guys that would like to see a Camo color scheme. I love speedball, but also like to go to woodsball now and then. Especially in the woods - I want my gear to blend in some so I don't become an instant target.

Crotch has to go. But I'd get these either way. I would just be more happier if the crotch detail was lowered.

After looking at the design .... Grayscale the stars more, like previously stated, and remove the crotch star completely and then you will have a winner sir.

I'll try and keep this concise. I'm borrowing ideas I like from others here too.
-Love the idea of lighter weight pants
-kill the crotch bullseye. Or at least make it smaller
-Make the stars grey
-camo colorway would be killer. Like y'all's last camo pants.
-durability is paramount. The existing pants suck in this category
-since there's less material, price them accordingly. Dye's pricing is stupid.
-can't see the back. But get rid of the saggy pants look.

I agree. Plainer is better and I like the idea of camo. I prefer lighter pants but Dye's pricing is absolutely ridiculous. It seems the consensus is affordable, light, breathable, and plain. Please make sure there are zippers on the pockets. The zippers are literally a deal breaker for me as I hate losing my microfiber and barrel condom.

Are the knee's reinforced? Would love to see a little thigh padding as well. Pants look pretty killer.

---My one gripe about paintball pants is that practically every pair of pants has the barrel swab pocket on the side of the leg. right where you slide. If its muddy, and i slide, my swab is now almost useless, where half of it is now dirty or muddy! PUT THE SWAB POCKET ON THE BACK OF THE LEG!!! PLEASE! LOL cause people usually dont use the back of their leg to slide on. its usually the side or front. That way swab wont get dirt all on them!
-honestly, paintball pants need to be LIGHT WEIGHT!
Last thing i want is my pants to weigh over 10 lbs when its raining when im running to d1 off break. too many companies use so much unneeded material in their pants.
-a decent amount of crotch padding. Where somone would be comfortable to not wear slider shorts/crotch padded undergarments and not have to worry about 1-2 shots to the balls and not having kids.
-Little Higher in the crotch, just for mobility reasons
-The stretchy mesh zones, like in the butt area, top of the knee pad, and right below the crotch, so you dont rip your pants when on a knee.
-Knee padding isnt really that big of a deal, but i know plenty of players who hate wearing knee pads. so maybe do something like eclipse does and have removable knee and hip pad inserts? actually a really nice feature. if you want em keep em in, if you dont need em, you can take em out.
- a pull string on the bottom of the ankle, (like eclipse pants has) so you can tie off the pants and not step all over them.
-Zippers on pockets are very nice. not losing key items is a plus lol
-camo colorways, you can market to litterally every type of player then, cause then instead of just speedball players wanting pants, woodsball players would be more inclined to pick them up, since it wouldn't be as flashy of a color.

1. swab in the back means a stab in the *** if you slide or something even worse

2. crotch padding? chiiiiill

3. articulation might be better than the stretchies

4. **** pull strings. elastic band.

the rest I totally agree with

nah lol like put the swab pocket like 1 inch above the back of the knee..or maybe how pants have pod loops on the butt of their pants, like it fits sideways right under their pod pack. maybe something like that but make it a swab pocket, then it wouldnt get in the way of anything, and wouldn't be as easy to get dirty

If you're worred about using your swab pocket, put it in your pod pack. pull one of the straps back and slap it in there. Easy to get to and doesn't get as dirty or slid on.

A few pro players have tested the pants and the abuse has shown up in tearing around certain areas. This is being worked on as we speak and I personally hope to see them by Cup.
