A few questions on the Cyborg?

I've seen a few of the videos and heard all the rumors, but I still have a few questions:

1. I've heard some people say they get great efficiency with the Cyborg, such as near a full case on a 45/45. Others get no where near it. Any idea what causes the difference?

2. I've heard the Cyborgs LPR runs at 50psi, but how many of you are able to pinch paint? Has anyone purposefully tried misfeeding a ball and seeing what will happen when the bolt hits it?

3. Are there any other planned distributors lined up besides PBK?

Thanks!

1. I've yet to really test the efficiency out but I'm getting around 1800+ off a 68/45.

2. The eyes work sooo well that pinching is not something I look for. The eyes are set low in the breech so it waits for the ball to really settle before firing. The only time I would worry about whether the bolt really pinches or not is if I have to turn the eyes off.

3. Don't know.

3. No, PBK is the only distributor in the USA. Of course, various shops can carry the Cyborg, but they will get them from PBK...

Well, being able to pinch is just another form of anti-chop. Several other markers are capable of it, I was hoping the Cyborg would as well.

A 50 psi bolt pressure is definitely going to help avoid breech breaks... if that is what you are asking about. It should also be gentler on fragile/brittle paint, which eyes don't necessarily help with in all cases.

he he I put my finger in the breach and fired. Not sure If I could do it or not so was very scary. No hassles bolt bounced right back off...yayy for my finger. I think if it didn't have the eye working then it would quite possibly pinhc, but the eye is one of the best features of the gun so theres no reason to turn it off.

Somtimes it has to do with the filling... 5 minutes after a fill check your gauge, psi will have dropped anywhere from 2-500 psi.... Let tank cool then tap off again

Also Dry firing wastes air faster han shooting paint, so if you are counting those shots, wrong

Try a TRUE fill to 45, shoot paint only, Im sure you will not be dissapointed

that's not a true test either. absolutely the wrong way to count shots. its not using air the way it was designed.

I agree. I'm sure it does save some air, but it's still not the same compared to actually firing paint.

Don't know if my lpr was at 50 or not as I had to turn it up a bit to up the velocity came shooting 220fps and when turned off my eyes are not working for some reason and chop with bolt stick. But my pressure could be higher.

Pressures of the LPR will vary depending on bore to barrel size, climate, temperature, god's unknown wills...etc etc...hehe. Also if there is any restriction of air in the solenoid area, you will need higher bolt pressure to get decent velocity.

I beleive macdev.net is out of stock right now, but I don't live there, so cannot be certain. If you live in the states, I suggest getting it from PBK or any other US store that carries it (which is not many right now, but give it time, there will be a lot carrying them), just in case you have troubles, you have a closer source for technical support.
