Sound Card Problem
Just recently, about a day or two ago my sound started giving out during games. It just randomly happens only during games.
Any suggestions?

If its only during games I would initially expect it to be a direct sound problem. Do this, go Start, then run, type in dxdiag and then enter. Go to the sound tab and run the direct sound diagnostic. If it passes reinstall Dx8.1 anyway and reboot, if it continues to happen, download the latest soundcard drivers and install them.
Does the sound come back in the OS after you exit the game?

Yeah, do what I suggested above and if it still doesn't work, come back with your directX version, sound card and model, and system specs.

Try reinstalling drivers. Also you may have conflicting IRQ #'s.

Nah GZ, if IRQ's conflict the sound would not work at all.
