a name is a name is a name.
That's about all it is, a name. If you play in Div. 1 you're considered Pro/Am. Look! another name. You can play pro in the NPPL and be a rookie team, you just have to pay $2k in entry. Eithe way, you're considred pro. There's that name again.
Because only certain teams have the money to join or use the discretion not to join the NXL do you really think that this simple decision defines a 'pro' team? If it suits you, just call Dynasty an am team who makes more money and has to a point played it smarter than most 'pro' teams out there. You can't really say that Dynasty isn't apart of the pro division when most of the NXL players and teams made the decision to form their own league. These NXL teams made this decision without the foresight of the money that would be available the following year but WITH the hope that their private league would hit a gold mine with the american public and thrust paintball into the limelight.
I hope you can see the name means nothing. If you still feel your logic is correct, what do you call a Am team who can beat a pro team on a regular basis? With your logic would they be considered Sandbaggers? ...even though they (as you claim) have tried to join the NXL.
