Question Buying a used Lexus next year, need advice.

I currently drive a 2006 V6 Mustang, although the car gets a lot of compliments for its looks, it ultimately drives like a pile of crap. Sooo next year I'm thinking of selling it and getting a 2007 or 2008 Lexus IS250. I'm not a 'baller' so I'm just wondering what I'm looking at for maintenance and repairs. I live in a small town land locked by ferries so choice of garages is a bit limited, however one of them advertises they work on BMW/Benz/Audi so I think they are my best shot.

Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

One of the most rediculous comments ever... I lexus makes some of the most reliable cars on the market if not the most. Let me guess you think American cars are more reliable?

I've owned Lexus' and never had any problems with them...even after 150k miles and up

Make sure there isnt an electronic cut out already installed.
My buddy bought one with a mysterious switch, had it on the lift to do oil change, it was an e cut out, hooked it up for him. Biggest smile on that kids face.

I too am considering purchasing a Lexus in about 18-24 months. What kinds of resale can I expect? How about maintenance issues on Lexus, considering the IS, LS, GS, RX and GB series. Thanks.

You can't say "sick pontiac" when the pontiac is an LS2 GTO and you're in a hairdressers car.

Just read the first post. You get complimented on the looks of a 2006 V6 Ford Mustang? What third world country do you live in?

small town in Canada and because its the newer body it gets compliments and it has a nice color of paint and I mean think about it it looks exactly like the GT so why would a v6 not get compliments but its GT would have the same here
