Cf boomstick or deadly wind fibur for dm14

I'm looking to get a new barrel. I could care less what it looks like it could be pink and made out of tin for all I care. The main thing I care about is accuracy. Haven't played in years and just now am getting back into the game and don't really know much about barrels so any help is appreciated. From what I have researched I'm narrowed it down to the dye cf boomstick .684 or deadly wind fibur with freak insert kit. I used premium last week but had some accuracy issues a few times. Might have been a ball break that caused it I dunno though. I'm tempted to go back to all star which I used the last time I was out. Seemed to shoot way better or at least i had less issues with accuracy. Not saying premium is a bad paint or anything.

Anyway what would everyone else think would be the best barrel for a dm14 using most likely all star from now on for accuracy. Like I said I've probably been out of the game for almost 10 years so I'm pretty clueless besides what I've read online so far. Any input is appreciated even if it's something besides the two I have listed.

All quality barrels shoot the same in terms of accuracy. The benefits you would get from a barrel kit are shot to shot consistency and efficiency. A Deadlywind with freak inserts would allow you a lot more flexibility since you can vary the inserts to go with the paint you are shooting. This would give you better performance than you would get with the CF Boomstick with only one bore size.

Ok thanks I'm probably gonna go deadly wind then and just get the few inserts in stainless steel that I would need. What's the difference in shooting with a 14 inch barrel and 16 inch one? Besides the obvious length difference.

Edit: never mind I found my answer searching the forums. I'm just gonna get the 14 inch

good man, 14 is overally just ideal, 16 seems a little long and harder to wrap around bunkers and such but easier for the eye to point

I went with deadly wind and freak inserts. I found an increase in accuracy over the 689 shaft 4

But was it worth the additional money you spent on that barrel? Probably not.

I went ahead and bought the DW with SS inserts it was never about the cost and more about even a slight improvement in accuracy of the stock barrel. I had balls going everywhere the other day and when I checked the barrel to the paint 9 out of ten rolled out of the stock barrel.

the dm14 should come with a UL barrel, those are great, just keep the stock.

i think the problem was the bore to match. it should be an overbore, or an underbore, not a bore to match, thats what you dont want to do. so many people try to bore match for some reason.. each ball is alittle different in size not much.
