I'll pick up an insight eventually. I'm waiting for the $375 - $400 range.

At the rate they're going it should be there in no time. Like you, I prefer the sighting of a single tube marker and I like the lack of an LPR. Given the efficiency and comfy ergos, this will probably be my go-to spoolie while the Impulse is my go-to stacked tube poppet. After disassembling the Insight to get acquainted with it, I'm a big fan of how clean and well thought out the packaging is--the frame is easy to pull, the solenoid is easy to remove and clean, the eye wire routing is clean, and the eye covers are a piece of cake. I mixed up my own version of "juiced" with regular Lurker lube and AKA oil to keep the bolt cycling nice and smooth. We'll see how she shoots this weekend.

Used the Insight and Impulse today. DAMN, both guns were absolutely money, as was my Axe my buddy was using. Not a chop or single issue between the 3 of them. Long day and another long day tomorrow.

The insight doesn't like tournament grade paint in my experience. That's the downfall. The impulse and axe will shoot anything. My axe will shoot paint that breaks from waist high all day without issue.

I used Marbalizer all weekend with zero paint issues. Through the 3 cases I used I put a case through the Insight. Nothing crazy about the settings--11ms dwell, bolt delay maxed out and BD delay at 12ms. It was very consistent, pretty efficient and generally shot and felt great.

For the finale, I switched back to the Impulse and after shooting them both back to back multiple times, the Impulse is lighter and has a more favorable balance for me, albeit very minor. The Impulse regs finally hit a nice break-in point and it was literally +/- 2-3 all day. It's without a doubt the best stacked tube gun I've used and won't be going anywhere. My kill:death ratio was insane today, about 50:2.

My Axe was just plug and play all weekend--very consistent over the chrono, efficient and trouble free. I'm definitely not even interested in tinkering with it any longer, it's just too good as it sits. Good orings, stock bolt and stock poppet and it shoots every bit as nice as the Insight.

My axe shot great, but this dam quest is still finiky. I think I found the issue.

Large gash inside the gun...not sure how I missed it. I'm thinking air might be leaking from the HP section into the LP section. Going to try a new body and see how that goes. If that doesn't do it, I'll try a new lpr assembly.

Ah balls. I already bought one on eBay, and a new lpr assembly.

Thanks though.

So one of the bullet points on the fancy new axe frame is adjustable strength on the trigger pull. Is that true? I see that the magnet is removable, so I hope "adjustable" doesn't mean you can put it in or take it out.

Which frame would that be? Adjustable strength with the stock-style trigger = changing the distance between the two magnets.

The ydna one. I'm maxed out in terms of resistance with my stock frame and vp trigger. Guess I could try to **** about with it to make it stronger.

so I hear that some of the airways in the nummech frame are smaller dimensions and thus you are required to run a higher pressure.
Dis tru?
