Nt 11 bolt fix

i picked up an nt11 used (first time ive ever had one in my hands) and the bolt looks like its dented or scratched or something. its hard to see in the picture but the top looks like it has chips in it, and the sides have semi flat segments running down. it was chopping paint last i shot it so would that have been the cause? if so would the pooty polish help to any degree? thanks for the assistance in advance.

Looks like to me someone was trying some mods or didnt have/ or had and eyepipe issue. or mods to the eyepipe detents.
look and see if the scratches are consistant with the locations of the detents.
bascially do they line up. this will require you pulling bolt out and pipe out.
if aluminum has actual dents i dont see buffing or polish working.
if it is causing issues which ehhh since the oring bascially keeps it straight in the pipe...but this will just be up to you. or call dye to order new.
i havent seen or looked for an nt11 part out on bst.

If they are then you won't be getting wear due to your detents.

I think this might happen if you shoot with your barrel off the gun.
The eyepipe then catches on the bolt and moves down the breach. When it has moved 1/4" there is no indentation in the body for the extended detents so they press realy hard on the bolt causing damage to the surface.
NEVER SHOOT WITHOUT THE BARREL!
