I would have to agree. Going off of my nt 11 which was modded by Billy wing, who hand fits the bolt to can, mine is not very tight but it is tighter than the others I've seen

Have you ever tried a 15/90 sail o-ring?

No I have kept the orange 17 on the inside of the can and move to the yellow 013 on the bolt tip instead of the blue 014

Speaking on orings. How should it feel.
Mine is blue on bolt tip
green on plunger tip which feels tight
red on sail on bolt which is smooth real smooth
And a blue in the middle of plunger.

save the blue on bolt tip, mine is exactly the same, and feels exactly the same. I just changed the tip oring to the yellow as suggested by a tech, and that seemed to really help with the chopping. However, I can hear the slightest leak from the bolt tip. It's not anything to worry about though seeing as I couldn't even notice a change in tank pressure leaving it aired up all night.

I may tinker with the plunger tip. I see how it needs to be tight? But maybe could be a smaller oring. Just seems to be really tight. But shoots fine. I know I know. Don't mess with something that ain't broken. Lol this isn't a major trial.
I do understand that the plunger is where the orings are super important. Open and closes the air flow.
If any better I'll report findings.

Mine is super smooth and I prefer if that way. Just enough resistance from the sail oring but barely noticeable.

A flat faced rubber tip would be the best solution. Probably softer on paint than a metal bolt face since the bolt moves rather fast on the nt.

thinking about it more, i don't think a rubber bolt tip is needed. If the bolt is long enough, it will be just fine, as it wouldn't really smack the ball. Theres gotta be a reason all of the new spoolies have a flat face bolt. Clone and Geo 3 are just 2 examples, and they shoot ultra evil all day just fine.

No offense, but do you know what you are talking about? There is a lot of crap on this thread that makes no sense.

Geo3 has a flat faced bolt? Thought it was cupped but may have changed for all I know.
Clone GT has a flat faced plastic cap.

Ive owned both of those.

I meant to say the gsl not the Geo 3 and you are right the clone does have a flat plastic cap but it's still a flat face. Going back to making the tip or a whole bolt, either would work, I'm just thinking that a flat faced bolt would be a better way to go. This is because with Just a tip there would still be rollback because the bolt itself would still be the same length. I f a bolt were to be made, it would physically be longer to help prevent the rollback

And if there's anything I post that you think is incorrect. Please feel free to correct me. I am fairly new to the nt, and paintball for that matter, and I have mostly been posting from info I have found in threads on here. So if anything is incorrect or false please correct me.

both would work. cushion or all metal face. i would lean towards the idea of a cushion on the NT only. (for now) since the bolt, at this time, cant be slowed down like a luxe can. (speaking mainly on Pooty mods)
idea of a Mini/Axe they have cushion tips. And i just bought one and when arrives i will see if it works. it may not due to diameter. but will see or if i can modd it. it may still allow roll back.
but a cushion in theory would be a great idea as well.
i do see where, PH mentioned in a thread i read. about the detents are pressed in maybe too much. if there was softer detents that may help eliminate any breakage issue that may be caused from them.
i have a heat gun. maybe a little reforming could be done.

If there was a soft bolt tip that would prevent rollback by all means I would be for it. I'm just thinking there will still be rollback and it won't solve chopping

Unless a new, longer, bolt were made to go along with the soft tip

well chopping is a different discussion. meaning. are you really experiencing bolt chop.
1. did your hopper feed correctly. or was the last few balls gravity fed. etc.
2. did your bolt correctly reseat as it should. meaing greased properly in the drive train.
3. was it a barrel break and thought of as chop.
4. a chop would leave mass paint in breech. so if you chopped 1 time it would have blended inside due to eyes covered.
i have yet to chop a ball. doesnt mean i wont. but using a rotor, which doesnt mean anything, with standard tension. also used my halo b. no issues. 9 dwell. so im not short stroking either.
barrel break maybe twice due to paint.
i do see where chop would happen if the spool and bolt was not properly greased. causing air pressure to be off. bolt stopped early on rear travel then forced to fire. possible tension on rotor ball stack on balls causing shell to crack. then bolt hitting it. etc.

Thankfully I haven't chopped since turning my rotors tension down, but before this the rollback was actually causing a small part of the next ball in the feedback to move down into the breach and get clipped. This would be solved by a bolt or tip that made the bolt physically longer
