I myself have always loved the nt. I will be buying a nt soon and will look into making a new bolt for it. Already i can see far more air flow.

So, the nt uses two types of bolts correct me if I am wrong?

I fully know about all the updates and flow inserts. I for some reason can't remember if they did make 2 bolts? Maybe it was just another can?

What years do they start to change?

I know about the can issue. I have had to shave down allot of nt bolts from the can fitting really snug on the bolt. So we can help change that also

I would have to default to others who have deeper knowledge of the nt history from the 10 and 11 series.
I do see where the can could be windowed like you do on the luxes stages 1-6. It may be small changes to air increase due to small can length unlike the luxes'.

There are not two different bolts but the dimensions are different between the nt10 and nt11 with the nt10 bolt and can both being very slightly larger in diameter.

So the NT10 and NT11 Bolt are different in what way? If dye sells the bolts I can just buy them. Thats always the best way to start

The nt 11 bolt and can are both slightly smaller in diameter than the nt 10 bolt and can. However, both of the cans fit on both plungers, meaning if you made a bolt and can it would work with both the nt10 and nt11. If you just made a bolt though you would have to make one for both the nt10 and nt11 because of the slightly different can diameters

The sail part of the bolt is the big difference.

The nt11 sail is smaller (OD) than the nt10 sail OD. Therefore the can has different IDs to accommodate each bolt. Nt11 uses a 015 oring on the sail nt10 uses 016. Even without the oring, the nt10 bolt will not fit in an nt11 can cause of its physically bigger sail OD.

Both bolts use the same bolt tips, inserts and plunger so the ID on each bolt is exactly the same.


There are other differences between both guns (pressure, dwell, manifold, spool)so you would want to stick with the nt11 version so you know it will work without needing other upgrades.

You should also know that the nt11 has changed tolerances ever so slightly along the way as Ive owned 5 nt11s and sometimes a bolt is tight in one can and barely touching in another.

If I were you Id offer an nt11 bolt/can combo and see where it goes before trying an nt10 combo.

You can PM me if you need any other help. Ive owned more NTs than anyone on this forum and actually have some nt11 sets.

I believe the NT benefited from the tighter sail fitting. My NT felt amazing out of the box and got worse as time went on. I know several people that actually over size the sail o-ring just for that effect, because the cycling system is so violent.
