Exclamation Nt flat faced bolt

Just a quick poll to see how many people would be interested in a flat faced nt11 bolt to reduce ball rollback and chopping. I pm'd pooty, and he says the only reason he wouldn't do it is that there's not enough demand. So who would actually buy one if it was made?

This is a pm from pooty reguarding our disscussion.

Below is a video that goes over it. Ignorant people without an open mind simply won't understand the flat face vs cupped face. The gsl and gt both use flat face bolts. So if people still don't understand why it's better then they simply never will. No need to change them.. In the end, I try not to push it. Then every gun will have one and that's not good for me. I was the first person to even make a flat face spool valve bolt. Industry in now seeing its a major fix for allot of issues... Good and bad i guess you can say..lol

I'd probably try it but I've never read anything about flat vs. Cupped. So inform me the difference.
Also if all its doing is preventing rollback. The orings mods I've read do that. What most people want on this gun and all guns is to be able to shoot soft paint.
So in my thought, a slightly longer bolt with the soft tipped face is an avenue to go down.
But i don't break paint now. Lucky I guess. Or master tuner! Lol

It would keep the ball stack straighter and also reduce the force of the bolt hitting the ball as its more dispersed

wouldnt a flat faced bolt produce more force per square cm than a cupped face? a flat face is going to make contact on a small portion of the ball because the ball is round. whereas a cupped face will contact more of the ball spreading the impact over a larger surface

as it is, with the oring on my flow insert, i dont break paint unless its cold as **** outside. even then its always barrel breaks from paint/weather conditions, never breech breaks from too much impact or pressure

Don't quote me on that, that's just what I've heard, there's gotta be a reason to it though considering all of pooty's bolts are flat faced. Also the oring mod doesn't work for my nt, the bolt is actually too far into the breach and restricts feeding

to me, just thinking on it. the ball would touch the face sooner. than a cupped face. thus helping eliminate the roll. one could also say what is stated above as well. but thats at impact. so if no impact, whereas, the balls at rest against the bolt i think, there is a difference.
i think both cupped and flat have good arguements. i would still try just for say so.

but with a flat face, there is much less force to begin with, it is practically touching the ball when its resting, so when the ball is fired, the bolt would not strike the ball, but rather just push it.

with the oring on my flow insert, my cupped bolt face is practically touching the ball in the breech as well....

You're using the 013 purple oring right? The one that goes on the spool, cause that one doesn't work for me, it doesn't feed consistently

That oring mod is not even close to the same as a flat faced bolt

Exactly, the ball can still roll back into the cupped face

I'm thinking it's going to cause flow issues. Since the current design was around flow inserts.
Thoughts on that?

Haven't really thought of that, but as long as the bolt seals around the plunger and on the outside as it already I see no real reason for there to be any issues

great video for explaing this for what we would like to see in the nt.
you should edit that/ this comment you posted to the your first post.
so all can see it before saying "no".
Im sure if designed it will not restrict/ or hinder flow issues on the nt's design. because in the end. its a paintball gun that has to project a pb.
and if the geos use them with a similiar short bolt design. the nt should be able as well.
if a limited run is made i would deff be paying the cost to try.

i also believe a lot of people would buy this bolt vs. what this poll shows.
some never post on here. and i see in the bst. every nt 10 or 11 basically sells. it would be neat to see what numbers DYE actually sold to the public. that would also determine the desire to make a bolt. imo.
i do believe lets say, 250-500-1000qty bolt order, would sell.
