Granted this is all personal experience so take for what it is; one person's opinion:
For one, I personally like the opto sensor for trigger activation. I have never had a problem with it & don't believe any of the aftermarket boards have that feature. I also like the OLED screen compared to LEDs or having to pay more for a "upgraded" board with an OLED screen. One last thing with the OE board is once you understand how its' configured, navigating through the firmware is a breeze. Steve Monks & the rest of PE are to be commended.
Second, again a personal issue, but I lost faith in Virtue back in '09 at PSP Phx where I had one of their "redefined" boards that was set up by them
in a DM7. If you remember this was year PSP lowered the BPS for almost everybody to 10.5. As I said, I had them set (& verify) the board but ~15 secs. into the very first game I got busted for shooting 14.5 & was rightly DQ'd for the event. That was the most expensive game of paintball I have ever played. I went back to the Virtue tent later that day & all they said was, "Damn, that sucks. Sorry... How about a free t shirt?" Never again.
The Vici may be a good board but I have no experience with them so can't comment. Tadao made a good board for the DM's but again I prefer OE so I haven't even played with the 07/08 Ego board I was given.
I'm not some PE fanboy, matter of fact, I used be a Dye guy. PE however offers an outstanding product right out of the box so there's really no need to "upgrade." Again, take this for what it's worth which may not be much.
