Lol so true. But I'll admit the mirrored lenses are nice for sunny days. Even if it was just a plain mirror finish like on sunglasses I would be cool with those.

Corey Field told me it was like wearing Oakleys. If that's the case then I might just stop wearing my smokes and switch to these bad boys.

UPDATE: 8/5/14 - The names in the picture below are incorrect and obsolete when compared to the current names by GI. Please do not go by these names as some of the lens names have changed.

Figured I might as well add my info I got while at PSP Chicago.

GI was selling 5 different HDR lens for $45 each. See the picture below.

Packaging details:
HDR - High Definition Refractive
- Zero Glare and reduced UV
- Distortion-Free w/ Anti-Fog (Dual-Pane Lens)
- High Contrast Polarization
- Meets ASTM / CE standards

- Potential colors based off back of packaging: Gold, Amethyst (Purple), Sapphire (Sky Blue), Ruby, Emerald, Platinum, Ice, Crystal, Spectrum... I'm guessing the names are not final because as you might have already noticed some of these are different from the names in the picture.

From looking through them, the crystal and sapphire lens are slighly less tinted than the Imperial and Magneto.

After looking at all the different lenses offered by various brands (Dye, Empire, GI, Virtue), these in my opinion are the sharpest looking colors in person. I'll admit I didn't actually look through all the lenses for quality comparison, but looking at them these are the flashiest. Vision quality looking through the HDR lens is top-notch. As someone else mentioned it is like looking through a pair of high end sunglasses like Oakleys.

Final misc. note: Yes you can use these if you fish or so I was told by a GI rep

HDR Lens Display at PSP Chicago (Bottom 2 are non-HDR, and yes that is just a GI sticker):
*****(8/5/14) NAMES PICTURED HAVE CHANGED. PLEASE DO NOT REFERENCE LENS NAMES FROM THIS PICTURE*****

When you looked through some of these, were they tinted as you looked through to make your environment easier to see in bright conditions or did it tint the environment to become a shade of blue if you're wearing the blue lenses or create your environment to appear orange through the orange lenses if that makes sense?

I own the crystal and while they are not as deep orange colored as the magneto lens they drastically improve sight by reducing brightness and everything you look at is not all orange colored.

With that being said, i mlooking to buy the Imperial lens, so hit me up.

Good news is GI will be at ION; so I will be able to scoop up a pair in less than a month. These sound as though they will be amazing vs. glare.

My biggest concern with VForce lenses is how well they stand up to scratches. Previous mirrored lenses would get busted up almost as soon as you took the field.

Anyone have feedback on their durability?

Mine scratched at Chicago open. Lense is great but I'm disappointed in the durability.

The HDR lenses are coated on clear and smoke lenses. Meaning you are not going to notice a huge difference looking through these lenses compared to a clear or smoke lens, other then really nice vision and sharp contrast.

Now with these lenses being as sharp as they are and the coating that reflective and shiny, you will notice ware and tear a little more. This cannot be helped. I know it sucks but this just means you need to keep your goggles and lenses in a goggle bag or wrapped in a micro fiber.

We are working on a lens case but for now just make sure you do not throw your goggles in your gear bag or car like just about everyone does after playing.

A lense case would great, I am on my 3rd HDR lense now due to scratching. However, my scratching comes from game play.

You got an update for us on a more specific release date for these HDR lenses now? Or is it still "up in the air"?

Promise I wont quote you with any more questions....hopefully. When you say they need to be spread even, do you mean stocked in stores or will there also be a way to purchase any of the lenses online?
