Everything mentioned above is so accurate that there is no reason for me to point anything out.

But one thing is I notice out the gate speed the Rotor wins, but holding a stream I feel like the rotor tends to slow down a bit and my Spire just holds a strong stream.

I placed my PM6 un-caped and the Spire shot the hopper faster then the rotor. But when only put 10 balls in each hopper the rotor shot them faster.

This was mi little test I did on my own and what I noticed. But you cannot go wrong with either one.

I've actually seen an increasing amount of these at my field - I'll have to see if I can borrow someones and see if I like it.

If you do want a large capacity loader, I do think the spire 260 is the better route over the rotor. It is both lower profile and lighter than the high cap rotor.

Never had any issues with my rotor, managed to get a cheap SEED kit for it too which just ups how much I like it. Own two one with and one without, no issues with either one ever. Only Jam I have ever had was because a few balls broke in a pod and the shell jammed it. (cold cold day)

Spire is nice, no problems with it, tried it a few times, but haven't had an issue with my rotor so, if it aint broke, why fix it.

True, I'm thinking that I'll stick with my Rotor until jamming becomes a problem.

My rotor with virtue feed has never jammed on me. My spire with worn out cone sits there useless to me. Until I can buy a new one..........no I'm not spending 25 bucks to ship it to virtue from canada for a 5 dollar part install. :/

So far the only place I've seen cones for sale is australia lol.

That's a bummer But then again, you don't want to let your $200 hopper to be useless because you don't want to spend $25...

Honestly I'll sell it before I send it in. It'll probably cost me more than 25 bucks, since I'm in Canada. 200 dollar hopper down for a 5 dollar part I should be able to BUY. Warranty support isn't the only type of support that's important for a hopper. I can buy any piece of my rotor I need pretty easily, not that I ever had to. That's where virtue fails on this product. Heck I can buy virtue parts for my rotor, but not the spire lololol. That's just.......horrible.

EDIT: Well it seems I also have the pulsing issue, now I have to send it in grrrrrrrrrrrr lol.

The spire is fairly new hopper plus it doesn't have the spring ramp which is even more money. SInce the virue is only one piece board, its easier to clean butif you have problems, it might be harder the see all of the electronics. With the rotor it is very easy and simple to take apart and you cen definitely see what's wrong because you can take the whole thing apart. I own a dye rotor and have dawned on the spire but still want to see if they can fix all the little tweaks

I think I'm going to wait for my Rotor to start jamming badly - then I'll get a Spire.

LOL so you already owned one and were just looking for validation?

If your Rotor works fine there is no reason to switch. They are both very high performing loaders.

I put another 4 cases through my Spire during a big scenario event this weekend.....absolutely zero issues on stock settings using it on multiple markers. The thing is completely transparent, meaning I never hear it or feel it. That's what you want out of a loader. So far, I've put about 10-12 cases of paint through it and haven't had one issue. It's also incredibly easy to pull apart--90% disassembly in 5 seconds, 100% in 2 minutes. I spoke to a couple other guys this weekend that have recently made the switch from the Rotor to the Spire and they all gave basically the same answer: that they're never going back. The weight, simplicity, profile and "it just flat out works" nature of this loader is pretty unbeatable. Since picking up the sport from a long hiatus, this purchase has definitely been one of my favorite and most noticeable.

Wish I could say the same about the two Spires I've owned.

Virtue has great customer service so I'm sure they could've gotten you steered in the right direction if you had problems.

My 2 cents...

I have only owed the rotor, but for the time I have had it I have only had issues feeding paint due to my errors. From talks with my local shop, they are both good loaders. It comes down to what you like about one over the other.

I have both and prefer the spire for no other reason than its weight and profile.. Never had any issue of any kind with my rotor and now, no issues with my spire
