I would have killed for this opportunity in high school. One of the best natural players I have ever met actually went to my high school too.

In essence yes it is hopper ball, but you can split the paint up how ever you like between your team mates. Glad to see these dates have finally been released, we will have to see if we can put a team into our regional tournament at a minimum.

Bring an event to Kentucky/Tennessee. I'd love to play this if it were closer

It's not really aimed at people who are your age. It's for High School students. The limited paint puts them on more of an even playing field. I think it is a good equalizer, especially since players entering might not even play tournaments but this gives them a chance to represent their school nationally.

im a sophomore in high school, and i play back in a 3-man team, and with the limited paint it will make it difficult to lane, and still be effective after the break

the limited paint is probably the biggest equalizer...almost wanna get 2 of my buddies, train them up and go play next month...i have tournament experience...they dont...and the paint gets people to move down the field faster..you only have one hopper...dont waste it

It takes 3-4 seconds tops to get to any bunker on the field. That's, at most, 50 paintballs if you're shooting the whole time. I think you'll be alright lol.

If I understand correctly, that is included in your entry fee.
My question is, do you get 600 for the whole day? Or 600 per match you play? And what if you have a hopper holding less than two hundred rounds, can I have a pod with the rest of my paint? Ok, so those were a lot of questions haha, I'm just considering entering in this.

You get 600 rounds per team per point. You can divvy up that paint anyway you want each point (unless told otherwise).

Awesome. I think I'll definitely register. This is great for setting up practices too, because a team only need like two cases for a full day of this sort of practice

Then playing with limited paint would be the perfect catalyst to add depth to your skill set.

Go practice with Rockin' Cocks (pump team around from around VA, they play at Pev's and the like). They'll teach you how to still be aggressive and make smart moves with limited paint.

Limited paint makes it a lot more exciting to watch, actually. I've played some OSC events where each player only gets 40-60 shots a piece (3 man and 5 man) and it's very fun to watch and play. You can still hammer that trigger on the break, just don't sit there and shoot it all. Make moves and gain real estate on the field.

Like someone else said, it makes it affordable for high school kids.

I would like to get some younger ones involved that are on my local team, but I'm pretty sure they all don't go to the same high school.

  1. No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
  2. Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
  3. If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
  4. Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
