New Tippmann TCR

So I was on tippmann and I realized that today tippmann released a new marker. The Tippmann TCR (Tactical Compact Rifle). It is a magfed as well as hopper fed marker and it retails at $349! So it seems to be pretty nice and affordable!

So tell me what you guys think!!!

I think I already have one. I guess I can't get aggravated at Tippmann for upgrading their own markers, but they could have given me a R&D royalty or something.

No wonder it didn't get produced.

From what I can find is that it will release closer to summer along with the airsoft M4. I look for it to be sold at Tippmann events earlier though. Maybe just wishful thinking.

They added the Force Multiplier Kit on it from MILSIG.

Well, not exactly. A little over a year ago, there were various companies producing and working on aftermarket shrouds for the Tiberius T8 and the TiPX. Milsig was one of them with their FXR and there was another available from Opsgear I believe. I was asked about my TiPX mod by another aftermarket producer and we worked on a deal but it never panned out. There were too many companies working in a very small niche market. There wasn't enough return available to do a production run.

What Tippmann appears to have done is take the better features of the aftermarket add ons (like mine) and combine it with their existing product line like the clamp on feed neck from the Trracer and the remote line connector upgrade. They recast the shells and viola! a new marker using community generated improvements and ideas. Don't get me wrong, Tippmann is a great company, but there is a difference between soliciting user feedback to make improvements like with the XVR and using other peoples ideas without giving credit or compensation.

My bad for posting pictures and not talking to Tippmann directly when it was still just an idea. I would be interested to hear what the Tippmann reps have to say about where their R&D guys did their homework. A5 OG maybe?

Reading their description and watching the video it looks as if tippmann may release a 12 rd extended mag (NOT ZETA). Around the :50 mark in the tcr vid there is a mag that is not a zeta ... just kinda cool

So, does anyone actually have an idea when this is going to be released?
