Attention Vanquish Owners: Vanquish Firmware v108 Avaliable

We just released a new version of Vanquish Firmware. This updates the programming currently on your Vanquish.

Get the latest and greatest now!

Download the firmware here under SOFTWARE: http://www.paintballsolutions.com/in.../about/empire/

Change Log:
- Changed battery level scale for more accurate reading
- Fixed 10.0ms dwell error which cause incorrect dwell when set at 10.0ms
- Fixed millennium mode preset, ramp reset now at .2ms
- Added feature checks for slow feeding paintballs when loader is low on paint
- Added new firing modes for PSP 2014 rules, PSP Burst 10 and PSP Ramp 10

Note- Vanquish USB tool update to follow in the coming weeks will include new PSP modes. For now firing modes should be set on gun, not on USB tool. All other functions will run as normal.

Out of curiosity, Jamie, what was the actual dwell when dwell was set to 10.0ms? I know the guys running Pooty's bolt system saw Pooty's success at 10.0ms dwell.

When I saw Pooty said he was running at 10.0ms I looked into it because I had never had a gun run below 12.0ms. There was some weird calculation error in the code that caused a setting of 10.0ms dwell to actually be 22ms+ (Every other setting was correct). Anyway I figured it out and corrected it so now 10.0 is actually 10.0. Anyone that was running at 10.0 it will no longer work that low, I expect. Hope that clarifies it for you.

So with the dwell previously being 22ms+ instead of the 10ms will there be any noticeable differences for those of us using stock settings?

This doesn't make any sense to me. I ran a Pooty setup in 40 degree weather and at 10ms my gun would not reliably cycle. I set dwell to 18ms and with no other changes was shooting reliably in the cold.

If this is true I fixed my cycling issues in the cold by lowering my dwell which makes no sense.

I guess that's why they were getting really low pressures around 140 since dwell was actually 22

Basically it monitors how fast balls are feeding so it knows when your low and does some stuff to prevent chopping paint.

Jamie - Should we factory reset after the upgrade? Also how was this just found now. Don't you guys do QA testing before releasing production code?

Just an FYI. When you connect a flashed 108 Vanq, the USB tool still shows it as 105 in the status bar at the bottom.

No, flashing erases and resets everything anyway, you don't need to factory reset.
Yes QA does look it over however they don't set the dwell to every number and make sure it's correct. That the programmers job (me). I'm human I might miss a little thing now an then. It is the nature of programming. However this bug was not a major functional issue so there is no need to worry. In only corrected it because we wanted to add the new modes and it made sense to do this at the same time.

Are you sure the flash worked? It says v108 on your Vanquish's screen? I am not getting that here.

I also just realized that prior to this I updated to OSX 10.9.1 Would this have any effect? The Vanquish USB tool still opens and runs fine.
