Jay What ID was the carbon tube you used to build the new fore grip & what did you use as the bottom cap?

I am guessing you got lucky too. They just raised the price from $12.95 on Tippmannparts.com to $50! I thought it was priced way too low but they caught it. I was just about to order another one too. At this point the Trinity on off ASA adapter is a better way to go for $30 shipped.

I made the carbon fiber tube. Epoxy impregnated cloth wrapped around a 5/8" wooden dowel. I think the OD is 1" but it may be 1 1/8". The bottom cap is a pvc furniture "anti slip" disc that goes on the bottom of chair legs. I ran a 3" 10x22 cap head screw through it into the ASA plug.

I would like to find a machined aluminum cap that has a 5/8" centering guide, but the chances are pretty slim. I got the idea from the Deadlywinds website. They make a carbon fibre grip for the autococker.

I have done a few marker mods with carbon fiber parts.... this TiPX carbine is one of my favorites

Put the nummech drop and the mrt bolt on....installed the virtue board and one of the battery contacts broke off at the solder point on the board when I put a battery in......gonna get a hold of virtue to see what my options are. Really like the drop and the mrt bolt is certainly lighter.

Lifetime warranty. They should fix or replace it. I have to send mine back too. It has a bad power connection.

They should be able to hook you up no problem.

After receiving my 3rd Virtue board, it works fine now. The tech guy at Virtue resoldered the battery connectors on the board for me and that was apparently the problem

Edit ... 5/12/14 I added a picture of my second Crossover to the top of the thread

I also finally figured out why I was getting barrel breaks with the Freak Jr. Barrel. Apparently the space inside the barrel where the bolt goes into the barrel is longer on the Freak Jr. than on the regular Freak back. The balls were hitting the ridge at the beginning of the control bore insert and breaking. The smaller the bore diameter the worse the problem. I chamfered out the Freak inserts with sandpaper and polished them. Now I am under boring at .680 and my velocity is more consistent and accuracy is better. For anyone running bore inserts with the Crossover I would highly recommend smoothing out the inside transition on the inserts. I will post a picture later
