Ego Lv1 Vs. Geo 3.1 Cant Decide!!!

Hey guys so I am getting a new gun and I have the Ego Lv1 in mind and the Geo 3.1. They are both the same price and I would like some info on what you guys prefer and what you recommend. Thanks

I'd pick any lv1 over geo.... The lv1s shot was so smooth, accurate, and I'm pretty sure if tuned right quieter than the geo.

I think the Geo is a little more quiet and what about efficiency?

From what I seen they're the exact same. 10 pods out of the box

It's really all personal preference, if you can go to your local pro shop and hold both. Having an enclosed breech is nice if you like to go through the dirt and mud. Also the Geo will require a slight amount of more maintenance being a spool valve, but nothing too extreme. Personally I would have a hard time decideing between those too also.

Good advice. I held them both at my local field today and i really liked both. If you had to pick one, what would you buy?

The lv1 out the box shoots smoother but the geo out the box is quieter. But the lv1 can be tuned and will shoot quieter if tuned right. And yes sadly the efficency is just barely a bit better with the lv1, although its claimed that the heavy rammer will increase efficiency but also sound signature so i never bothered. I'm not going to post my opinion because there are too many variables and everytime I think about your situation and my knowledge on both platforms I teeter back and forth

In an ideal world it would be best to try both before deciding as they are both exceptional markers and very little between them.
Personally I would ignore the claims on efficiency and sound signature and just go with what feels right for you.

I got an Lv1 back in July after shooting Spool based markers for the last several years and never thought I would ever own another "clanky" poppet based marker but after trying a LV1 I decided to get one as it just felt right for me.
Whatever you decide you won't be disappointed.

I was in the same boat till I got a great deal on an lv1. More maintenance on the geo's and about 2 pods less efficient then the lv1. Not much to sway my decision though. The frame on the 3.1 is slightly smaller then the lv1. I'd hold them & see what feels more comfortable to u & decide then. Can't go wrong with either imo

To the OP. You shot them at your local field and you need to decide which you prefer. They are both great markers and both are reliable and pretty good on smoothness and shot. It really is preference at this point.

Most of all, enjoy what you shoot and treat it well.

I agree that holding/shooting them is really the best way to choose. But I don't think you can go wrong with either. I've always been a GEO fan because I like the single tube style and the smoother/quieter shot of a spool valve vs. a poppet.

But when the LV1 came along the feel of the shot was basically on par with the GEO line and the rubber grips were far more comfortable so I actually really liked the LV1 vs. the GEO3. Much moreso than any past EGO. The grips really make a big difference to me.

But now that the GEO3.1 is out it has the same feel/comfort as the LV1 grips, but it also has the single tube style that I like, so I'm back to preferring the GEO line. They both shoot very smoothly and quietly, but I just happen to prefer the single tube.

Also, you can compare the photos side by side and see that they are very close in dimensions and the touch points are configured in a very similar manner. The LV1 is a little longer and taller, but overall it's really close.

since you have a EGO LV1 badge you have to buy the LV1 now. the geo 3 is smaller.

Owned a 3 and moved to an lv1...prefer the lv1 ergonomically as well as the overall look personally...shot quality is on par with either gun...the surprise though is that it's coming from a poppit though with the ol' lv1! I loved my geo 3, but the lv1 just fit me better...a 3.1 was tempting, but I just have thing for the look and feel overall of the ego line. Good luck, it's a tough decision!

for me it was down to a LV1 or a GSL (mostly due to the new bolt assembly/ disassembly). Turns out getting a 1 of 24 GI anno LV1 with 5 cases of paint through it for $800 cheaper was my tipping point lol. Just hard to justify not. But i was on the fritz and could decide either. I've also always been a poppet guy since i bought my first Ego.

I feel that the lv1 is abit more superior of a platform then the geo but it doesn't hurt to have one of each.

I say get an used lv1 For a good deal rite now, shoot it and if u feel its not for u, trade it plus a lil cash for a used 3.1 down the road or even a gsl someone might be willing to let go and see if that's for u. It's def the most cost effective way instead of buying new and finding out its not for u and taking that 200-400 hit rite off the bat. I have a gsl and a lv1 and I personally prefer the gsl but that's just me. The lv1 def one of the best poppits I have every shot before.

...or just wait a few months (should you buy an LV1) and trade straight for a 3.1...they're just the newest out from PE (GSL aside), and are only worth a straight trade in all fairness...good luck right now, but once the hype has worn off it'll be the norm...I wouldn't add for a gun that's equal in every way shape and form to the LV1 I currently own.

If you are a snake player - go for the GEO. (It's less likely to get crudded up when to diving)

A back player, the LV1.

Dorito side, which ever you like the look of most.
