Better yet is seeing the paint flying by a player tucked in his/her bunker. You can get a sense of the "danger" the player is trying to hide from.
In closeups you also see dark paint leaving the barrel.....

...I'm just saying the video is a poor example.

I will say yes because of the fans and people on your team can also see lands and can tell where people are. This will also help with OBVIOUSLY seeing where someone got shot with no question. Another problem this will solve is if people have crappy eyes, their sensor will pick it up immediately and will be able to preform at its best. The only downside to this would be to the opposing team because this will easily show lanes they are shooting.

As you can see the yellow paint is extremely visible for spectators and players.

I think its a good idea. I mean think about it, take any professional sport, like football, or soccer, or basketball, and then make it so the viewers can't see the ball. Then try to explain it to someone who doesn't get the sport, or is new to it. The paintball access webcasts are entertaining, but I actually know whats going on, where as when my friend walked in and I tried explaining it, it was extremely difficult. If they did this it would only affect the Pros, who are already at the top of the game, if they are the best players in the world, then they should have no problem with it. Plus its still even because both sides will be able to see the lanes. I think its a great idea.

I am sure some people are going to say it is different then other sports and you can't equate the two.

Fine...go watch a war movie. You ever notice how they use tracers a lot of the time so the viewer can see the bullets flying buy? Now imagine watching that same move and having no idea where the bullets are coming from or when...

I think its a great idea. If they used Yellow shells people could play events in the early hours or late hours without compromising their level of play. Ive been stuck with the awful first game of the day and the worse yet last game of the day in d4 and d3, which as some of you may know this beckons the terrible construction lighting. Im not saying make the lighting better I'm saying that if the PSP is going to force teams to play when there is hardly light out they should at least compensate by making bright shelled paint mandatory. I think being able to see a lane coming at you while your running and making a split second adjustment to dodge it should be part of the game.

Most of what you see in the war movies are not tracers to see where the bullets are being fired from but rather muzzle flashes at the point of origin. The tracers would only really be effective to show the shooter what they are hitting. Also, tracers are worthless during the day.

False, tracers can be seen in the day.

This ^^^

Lighter shells makes it easier for players too which is dumb.

This is a great idea, the games will be longer benefiting the sponsors (that will be happier to give more money) and the viewers that will be better and longer entertainment (with the dark paint only seasoned viewer are able to "guess" who shot who).

very good idea it will take the guessing out of the viewer as to where someone is shooting from and where someone is shooting to. also as a player it would make shooting lanes more fun and easier to see

I love it, it'll definitely improve the quality of spectating live and on webcasts, will definitely encourage me to pay for the webcast again.
Edited to add: Why only Pro? Why not everyone?
