I have heard that your company will be showing an unsafe portrayal of paintball in an upcoming commercial.

Please only portray paintball in a safe manner. All paintball players always wear proper gear especially eye protection.

Please don't show improper use of paintball equipment as it may cause injuries to children who see your commercial and think its ok to go without proper gear.

Please do not air the future commercial using the sport of paintball. Judging by what i have heard, this will show unsafe behavior that we as a paintball community do not need. Also, alcohol and paintball should not mix because this can lead to again, unsafe behavior. Please do not air this commercial for the reasons stated above. Thank you for your time

Here's my letter.


I am deeply disturbed by the paintball commercial that I have gained knowledge about that Budweiser might air in hopes of promoting their product. I understand that it will involve a couple of intoxicated people shooting at another person that isn't wearing a mask that protects his eye's and face. I am an avid paintballer and believe in practicing the sport as safely as possible. This commercial will portray paintball as a dangerous sport where people can get hurt easily from the paintballs. This commercial can also influence young children who may see this commercial to do the same with their friends when playing and not wear the required protective gear and possibly injure themselves as a result. I also am not happy about the fact that I know you are doing a paintball commercial to target a new increasing younger age of children that are getting into this sport everyday. Don't deny it, that is part of your marketing scheme. In addition, if you do intend to show a paintball commercial to the public with out the actors wearing safety gear you will be hurting Anheuser Busch more than you help the company. Many paintballers that see your advertisement of our sport being played in an unsafe manner will protest and refuse to purchase any of your company's products. We do not mind that Anheuser Busch uses paintball in a commercial, but you must portray it in a safe and reasonable manner, such as the participants of the commercial wearing masks and not running around on the field in a drunken manner. However, the participants going to get a few drinks to cool off after a long day on the field would be fine. I just highly suggest that your company edits or recalls this commercial before it hits the airwaves.
