No real upgrades are needed. If anything have your barrel back bored out for freak inserts, and your good to go!!!!!

Pick up a barrel back/barrel kit and really you should be good to go. Ethas are pretty solid with stock everything. My only complaint was the .693 stock barrel back.

Agreed everything I have read says to leave it stock. Except for the back barrel kit. Due to it being a larger bore size. ..

I got the virtue redefined board and it works awesome . stay away from the techt bolt I got it and yes it bumps your fps but very prone to chopping paint and ripping up your bolt tip.

If you don't like the stock trigger you can always get the violent series and I would stay away from the TechT bolt. Also just stick with the shaft4 barrel backs, they are very nice.

Smaller bore barrel is about all you need. Pretty decent little package out of the box

Get a TechT bolt but make sure, ABSOLUTELY make sure to tell them to Micro-Hone the bolt. You will be good to go, and also a better barrel?

Honestly, the TechT bolt isn't going to make that much of a difference in game. It does help with consistency, albeit only slightly, by reducing the velocity differential when firing at a high rate. But, you can also improve consistency by upgrading your inline reg or running a nice regulator on your tank. If I was going to drop any money into my Etha (I've been using it stock for almost a year now), I would pick up a smaller bored barrel back and a violent trigger. Maybe for ****s and giggles put in a Virtue or Ape board, but I love the simplicity of the Etha board and I really don't need all the bells and whistles that come with aftermarket boards. I've heard they've helped with efficiency, however.

I just put the Virtue OLED board in my Etha, and absolutely love it! It is a little speedy at 187.00 but when added to my EMC kit, it makes for one hell of a woodsball gun. I also put an Apex 2 barrel on it, which I prefer over stock. Having the OLED screen in the provided grip panel makes programming very fast and easy.

What's the best barrel bore size to get? Best all rounder?

stick with stock. if you want to get the smallest possible either get a boost kit or a freak kit and trial and error it, but if you want to be safe and inexpensive stay stock
