The SCPA is proud to be in its 2014 season.
All events in the 2014 SCPA season, from November of 2013 to March of 2014, are considered by APPA and PSP as 2014 events. All players playing in the 2014 SCPA season will be reclassified by the SCPA in accordance to the same formulas used by APPA at the turn of the year. This will only affect players while playing in the SCPA events and the will remain their current rank on all events they play outside of the SCPA in 2013. Any and all points acquired while playing 2014 SCPA events will be assessed in 2014 and will not affect the reclassifying of players between the 2013 and 2014 seasons as the point will not be applied to the players profile until 2014.
If a player has currently earned a promotion according to the APPA between the 2013 and 2014 season, the division that APPA will rerank them into for 2014 is the division that they will play in every SCPA event, even those events that take place in 2013 since the entire season, from November '13 until March '14, is coded by APPA as 2014.
All players will be reclassified for 2014 by the APPA according to their scores at the end of 2013 excluding SCPA events. SCPA events will not be factored in as they do not happen until 2014, after they are already reclassified.
The age of an individual event score does carry weight into how much of that score carries over to the next year and is applied to a player's overall APPA score. The season multiplier chart is below.
This Season (2013) 100%
One Season Ago (2012) 100%
Two Seasons Ago (2011) 90%
Three Season (2010) 70%
Four Seasons Ago (2009) 50%
Five Seasons Ago (2008) 35%
More Than Five Seasons Ago (2007 or earlier) 25%
